Maybe should have held it at King's Lynn again if your track prep is still an issue?!

Woofy returns in 2024

Maybe his preference for British speedway now rather than Sweden is down to the increased chances of getting paid what he's contracted for????? -
As Chris Louis has already clarified, certain riders were/are only contracted to League and KO Cup meetings. Doyle would have been in the Ippo pairing if his Polish fixture had not been rearranged for today after the weekend rain-off! I thought you would be pleased to be hosting a 'final' after last season!! 3 SGP riders including your own - whats not to get excited about?!

Holder back to number 1 from Monday

Emil to 1 from Monday!

So as expected Lawson to 1 and presumably Worrall to 5 for July. Others stay the same.

30.06.2023 - League - Scunny v Oxford

Strange that the official GSAs aren't out yet! -
Crikey, a younger person following our sport?! That must be a plus............!

Can I keep this quote for future reference, as and when required?!

Artem rode Poole for Steve Worrall's testimonial - Poole not exactly a huge track - and scored a 4-ride max.
-
The disappointment is the size of the defeat, bearing in mind previous results at Oxford this season have been a win by 3 points and a loss by only 2 points! No body is saying Poole should have won but the overall scoreline was disappointing and caused the Poole promotion to comment accordingly - taking nothing away from Oxford, the team in form whereas Poole had a blip as in June 2022.

I thought Rew said his schedule was too busy to fit Championship fixtures in? Of course that may change later..... New GSAs should be out this coming week for 1st July, so all will be clearer as to what the options might be.
-
Maybe if all the Competition Finals (KO Cup/BSN) were scheduled for after the August cut-off, then perhaps they could all be included in the GSAs rather than just League fixtures.

Tungate's piece in the Speedy Star this week reckons all previously negotiated and agreed UK deals are off!! Although he is still open to do Premiership....................

Who are SIS? Are they the new greyhound owners who also own the speedway and have a new 10 year lease?

Oxford v Poole 21/6/23 Championship.
SteveLyric2 replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Standard and points limit will be calculated on a 'one league' basis, imo, IF those clubs/stadia rumoured to be closing for speedway do so!? Judging by the 'success' of the IOW meetings, it is increasingly clear that the sports popularity (and costs) do not require the 'top' riders!!!!!!
