A more local derby for a charity might explain it then?! -

Certainly some fast race times with Doyley recording the fastest of the season so far in heat one. Track grades after every 2 heats agreed with both teams and ref after the track walk! With Doyley so much faster than everyone, some of the races were a bit processional but nonetheless a decent challenge in front of a sparse crowd - maybe the presence of a GP rider doesn't attract more fans if its a meaningless meeting??!! -
Touched base with Terry today and wished him well. His son is doing the track work for him temporarily. Terry is on this forum but I wont reveal his ID.

He kept getting excluded for jumping the start!!

Bowtell for Neilsen -
Unless it was the club that withdrew the offer!!?
-
I think the 'star' may have tarnished a little!!!!
-
Thank goodness Poole's CMAs won't change til July 1st.
-
Hardly, with his higher average!!
-
Maybe if the original job offer to Kemp had not been withdrawn, he may have come to the rescue, rather than concentrating solely on Poland!! As for Anders, he is still not 100% recovered from his shoulder/collar bone injury - Only took 3 rides for Poole on Wednesday as it was giving him some grief. Not sure he would be upto Premiership racing at the moment, but who can tell - we know what riders are like!!!!

So the Swindon Select 1-5 is Doyle, Morris, Sedgman, Rowe and Neilsen - with the 2 reserves to be confirmed over the weekend. Poole track winter target Keynan Rew in place of Anders Rowe! -
Scunthorpe: (Taken from BSPL CMAs Issue 3) 1 Ryan Douglas 9.38 2 Michael Palm Toft 6.76 3 Jake Allen 6.30 4 Max Clegg 5.36 5 Simon Lambert 5.20 6 Connor Mountain 4.72 7 Nathan Ablitt 2.00

Reference to signing two new riders was in this week's Speedway Star which has a press deadline of Tuesday evening so the decision and deals were doubtless done over the weekend!

Less VAT. (But I agree, £20+ seems to be a tipping point for some).

Similar Plymouth tactics. Stuff the opposition number 1. 49-41 -
I'm sure it won't be a battle!!

I think its fair to say that Poole are one of the tracks that has one of the very best (SCB) track curators in speedway, along with his track helpers! He has worked wonders with the track over recent seasons! Having spoken with him, I'm sure he knows he was caught out a little last time with the early rain and didn't water much before the start and didn't expect the track to dry out as quickly as it did. As usual once the meeting has run a few heats, riders are reluctant to have the track watered as they have to change set-ups etc. I really don't understand the Plymouth 'fans' complaining about dust in the second half of the meeting as that was when Plymouth riders managed a bit of catching up (well just a bit!) I also sit in the same grandstand section as Daz1900 overlooking the startline and also confirm that the starts are not touched by them once the meeting is underway. They simple reposition the tapes and re-instate the white lane boxes - as all club start line staff do. Of course Poole's Senior Start Marshall along with track staff also lead/conduct the crowd in "Sweet Caroline" before heat 15 each week in front of the grandstand, so they probably do a little bit of stamping down on the home straight before the final race. NB. Good to see a Poole thread attracting the usual trolls/stalkers.................!! (ps. For those not travelling up from sunny Devon, the meeting will be streamed by Pirates TV)
