Grand final guest options for Poole
Steve Shovlar replied to Bitza's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Real average for away, +5% for home meeting. -
Ticket price was £27.50 for me, £22.50 for my daughter. Always good value for away matches in the Premier League with a ceiling of £30. Tomorrow the Bournemouth v Manchester City tickets are on sale for me, and the price will be £43 + postage. However, the money generated by ticket sales for all PL clubs is a negligible % compared to the TV money and they could all let everyone in for free and not really feel it. Ticket sales for Bournemouth are something like 4-5% of the clubs revenue. Shows how much money is involved. If British speedway had 1% of footballs revenue the sport would be in good shape.

Fricke was red hot around there when he was number one. But he has lost it and is very inconsistent in the U.K. A number one should be first in the queue to ride heat 15 but Lawson and Douglas volunteered. -

Yes and he will miss the Championship final regardless of how he feels. But a week Wednesday is the first leg of the KO Cup and if he feels fine, then there’s nothing to stop him. But only Ben can make that call. A few years ago there was no concussion protocol, so it’s a good thing that there now is, to stop riders returning too early and being a risk to themselves and others. -

All over. The rain killed the final. As soon as it arrived it was one way traffic. For Masters and Fricke to refuse to ride in heat 15 speaks volumes. -

But as the track has become sodden the home riders feel safer on it than riders who only ride it a couple of times a year. BV were always clear favourites. The Champions were always coming from the northern semi.
