Track was absolutely brilliant tonight. Smooth and fast, no dust, loads of racing lines. Poole riders said it was perfect. Have to agree. -

Well I didn’t expect that! I expected Kings Lynn to come out with all guns blazing. What we got was a team demolished in the first three heats and going backwards from there! Poole could have had 65 points tonight but for Harris’s fall when going for the lead, and Middlo resting Brady in heat 15 allowing Lambert a heat win. The difference between the teams was vast. Kings Lynn had no answer. A very big crowd tonight cheered on the team. Like Brady said after the meeting, Poole are back! There was some stonking racing as well throughout the meeting. Heat 7 saw Woryna fly around the outside but Harris was at the back. He almost got to the front when he lifted (not sure what he clipped) and came tumbling down leaving Proctor nowhere to go. A nasty crash but both got up. In the next heat Newman gated but was picked off over the race by the two Pirates. Pirates remain third but niw only a point behind Swindon with two home meetings in hand. for Poole. Brady was untouchable tonight. 10/10 Josh battled all night. Solid. 7/10 Nicolai did his usual win by a mile or tailed off. 6/10 Richie was excellent. Fast and aggressive. 9/10 Harris battled all night but the crash affected him. 7/10 Kacsper was superb. Fast and only dropped one point. Showing his potential. 9/10 Freddie is pure class. Excellent passing. Again only dropped one point. 9/10 For Lynn. Lambert battled but found it tough. 7/10 Toft didn’t do much. 3/10 Proctor ran a last in his first before a crash. Unfortunate. Can’t give a score. Jorgensen was pretty rubbish. Expected much more. 2/10 Iversen started well but then went awol. 3/10 Simon Lambert was out of his depth. Gifted his points. 1/10 Newman battled all night but was picked off. No lack of effort though. 4/10 Next up is Leicester at home next Thursday. Happy Days! -

Track was bloody brilliant tonight. Best it has been for years and the Poole riders said it was perfect for them and just how they want it. If anyone is critical of the Poole track they must either be trying to make excuses for a crap Kings Lynn Performance, or couldn’t have been there. it looked great before the meeting and rode fast and smooth. Plenty of passing from the start to the end. -

An horrendous crash tonight between Harris and Proctor. Woryna led but Harris was at the back. After one lap he passed Jorgensen and coming over the start line next to Proctor Harris lifted and came off the back of his bike. Proctor seemed to run over Harris head. Both came crashing down. Both laid on track for a few mins before both thankfully got up. Proctor withdrawn. Harris yet to ride again in the meeting. Very luck escape for both. -

I doubt that very much. Much closer but I would like to be proved wrong. Looking like a big crowd again. Track looks smooth and well watered. -
Pirates will be without flying Danish duo Nicolai Klindt and Frederik Jakobsen for the visit of the Robins on Wednesday, August 22 due to commitments in their homeland. Klindt could also miss the home fixture against King’s Lynn seven days later. Ford said: “I’m sure Swindon will be delighted to be coming to us when two of our riders are missing.” Jakobsen could also move out of the reserve berth when he completes 8 meetings. He will be replaces by either Josh or Nicolai.

Strange move. Thought Etheridge was doing well. Should imagine he will be picked up pretty quickly.
-
But you thought Leicester, with Robson and Mountain at reserve, would beat Poole easily yesterday.

What on earth are you on about? I think you have completely lost all reason. Completely lost it. It’s an opinion. Lambert should be proud to represent his country. Thousands of sportsmen and women would do anything to represent their country in their chosen sport. Yet young Lambert is too tired? Do me a favour! -

Hello Dave, greetings from a resurgent and sunny Poole. Looking forward to seeing Niels Kristian Iversen at Poole tomorrow. -

One would have thought the opportunity to represent your country in an international test match outweighed any short holiday. The first thing I would have done is cancel the break and look forward to being in TeamGB. Guess being patriotic isn’t what it once was. -
Nothing wrong with some banter amonst rival fans. It’s what makes it competitive sport. Rivalry is important. Since when has Ipswich been a rival of Poole? Not for many years. Seriously, if I was to make several obnoxious trolling posts on the Ipswich thread, the men in the white coats can turn up and cart me off to Devizes.
-
If a Poole fan posted several times a day on any Ipswich thread, their fans would think the person were off their rocker and nothing more than an obsessed troll. what is quite hilarious is that this troll posts virtually the same crap on every Poole thread, a team he has no affiliation with whatsoever, and somehow in his deluded brain thinks he is not trolling. You really couldn’t make it up! Then on top of that he calls me a troll. For posting on threads for the club I actually support! Is it suprising that he now finds himself as single?

Not sure why all the waffle on here about a meeting called off years ago. The track had an ongoing issue with that area of track right up to last winter when the whole lot was dug up and relaid. Track is now in good order. On to this meeting and am very much looking forward to it. Should be a real battle and excited to see Lambert v Kurtz and Harris. Newman at reserve? Will want to do well in front of his local club. But with Woryna and Jakobsen at 6 and 7 he will have his work cut out. Be suprised if S Lambert troubles the scorers. Weather set fair and a big crowd expected. -
Well that was an interesting trip to Leicester. We arrived at Beaumont Leys shopping center at 6pm and went to get something to eat. Having experienced the unacceptable food at the stadium from the sole caterers last time, there was no way they were ever going to get a penny from me again, we though we would find a better solution at the center. Warning. Don’t go to the chippy! Bloody awful. I guess the caterers at the stadium trained there! Are there no decent places to get someting to eat in this area? Served anemic fish and chips and mushy peas. Utter crap. Arriving at the stadium at 6.30 the car park full signs were out on the road so we swung around and managed to park on the road. A walk up and a few mins in a queue nd we were in the stadium. Mentioned in previous visits but no access to pits, and no view of riders before the meeting. A shame. The meeting got away bang on time with the parade at 7.20. Take note other clubs. The centre green announcer was friendly and clear to hear. Even after five 1-5’s on the bounce he was still reasonably chirpy. As for the meeting itself, well it really was one way traffic in the first half of the meeting as Poole powered away to leave Leicester reeling. Even if we missed the start the lads were through down the back straight. Leicester had no answer to the onslaught. A sun break came to their rescue and in the second half they came out more determined and managed to stem the flow, but by then the damage had been done and the 4 points were on their way down south. Decent crowd, who were clearly subdued after being hit hard early on. Racing wise there was a fair bit of passing. Worynas blast around Nicholls before Scott got him back, Harris’s two passes of Scott, Robsons passes of Josh and Freddie. Best meeting for passing I have actually seen at Leicester. Unlike the televised meeting three weeks ago, the gates were much more even as well. I believe the 4 changes Leicester made to the team are clearly to save money. No more airfares for any riders, and riders like Robson, Auty, Mountain and Wright won’t be expensive. Nicholls would be grateful of a team berth after the demise of Rye meaning Hans the only rider costing a lump. Sensible from the Leicester management. For Leicester. Hans battled hard after a torrid first three rides. Wells improved inthe second half. Wright struggled all night. Auty was very poor. Nicholls rode well and had three titanic battles. Robson struggled but beat Kurtz. A couple of people have said the Leicester 1-5 scored the same as Poole’s. The problem is teams have seven riders, not 5. The reserves (a silly name tbh) are part of the team. For Poole. Brady started like a rocket and was a fraction off the track record in heat one. (60.69, record is 60.63) But his two lasts, especially heat 11, was very poor. Josh started poorly but then was solid. Richie won by a mile or was tailed off. Kacsper rode well in his first two, then ran a last and was replaced innheat 14. Chris was pretty much sensational. Aggressive and fast and passed Nicholls twice on lap 3 in two heats. Nicolai showed his liking to the track. Freddie was excellent and only doed one point. Pirates now up to third with three home meetings in hand. Kings Lynn next at home. Mountain was out of his depth.
