  1. Track last week was far worse than tonight. Caught the Glasgow riders out. Tonight is set up for them. No complaints though. Make your own luck and we haven’t been on it.
  2. Over already. Can’t compete for speed against Tarasenko, Harris, Basso and Brennan. Tarasenko wins every heat by 50 metres plus.
  3. Gate and go and no passing at all but Glasgow are miles in front out of the starts. Our heat leaders can’t get close to their second strings. Waste of time for neutrals and Pirates fans but Glasgow fans will be loving it. Lol. Oh well can’t win it every year.
  4. Now Newman out. Did we run over a load of black cats? Beyond a joke. Getting mullered tonight. And Glasgow were shouting how they were the underdogs.
  5. We are nowhere near the pace from the gate and had a little misfortune. Heat 2 prime example. Complin nowhere first run and passed, then gate and gone.
  6. This could be over already. Off the pace, missing the gate, missing the one min, knocking a rider off (allegedly)
  7. As said. Never the same result in a rerun. What should have been a Pirates 5-1 ended up Glasgow 4-2. Luck going hard against us at the moment.
  8. Glasgow going with no number 8. I withdraw my David Icke suggestion. Lol
  9. Vissing won’t be missed at all. If he had been declared fit to ride it would have worried a lot of Glasgow fans.
  10. But it’s not and hasn’t been for a long time. We might have finished top but no title for that.
  11. I said from the moment Tarasenko was signed Glasgow were clear favourites for the title. Haven’t seen a reason not to change my mind. Pirates will be up for it though and will give it their best shot even though we are an important man down. Hope the track is raceable and we get two great meetings.
  12. What’s the betting if pijper has a poor opening ride, he will suddenly become injured and Smith replaces him? Just asking.
  13. Realistically Pirates need to keep it to 10-12. Anything more and it could well be all over at 10pm tonight. Losing Anders is a big blow but the boys will dig deep like they did at Scunthorpe, though the opposition is much stronger tonight.
  14. Went two years ago. Glasgow is worth a look around but the museums were closed when we went up due to copp26. Go Pirates!
  15. Feel sorry for the Poole fans who have already left for the long travel up. Hope they find out quickly. With all the wet weather over the last few days I was surprised to read yesterday that the track was holding up well. At least the call off stops the riders from travelling too far. A dry day today and tomorrow should give riders the chance to race rather than ride.
  16. Anders ability and form has improved dramatically as the season has gone on. He probably didn’t want the season to end and the strives he has made is clear to see. Certainly one of the first names on 2024 team sheet. His loss will be noticeable and it’s likely he will miss the second leg as well.
  17. Thats not good news for us. However, if Anders isn’t 100% then it’s best he sits it out. Will put extra pressure on our reserves and Zack. Certainly reduces our scoring ability as Anders is very good around Ashfield.
