Nordic Gorzow Grand Prix 27th August

Thought Holder was like a rabid dog in the final. Got hold of Zmarzlik and wouldn't let go. Woffy looks a bit rattled on the podium. -

Probably the most exciting final since Harris shocked us all at Cardiff. Brilliant. -

Great GP. Had some fantastic racing and superb atmosphere. Thought Pearsons head was going to explode in semi final 2 and Final. Deserved winner in Doyle. Well done Chris Holder in making the final and getting on the rostrum. Thank god he wasn't hurt in the first running. Fabulous GP Final. -

He is still a rider. He ain't gonna say anything to affect himself. -

Hmm I don't think that Daria is very attractive. Looks like Woffinden has lost any advantage he had last year. Certainly back in the pack at the moment. -

I see. So if Poland get a very rare event of a world champion you won't care. -

Harris and Woffinden beat the two Poles. Trmmr must be so embarrassed. -

Where is this from?

Because they are simply not good enough to show on Sky. At home the track produces zero proper racing, and away from home they are so weak and dire even Leicester fans don't travel.

The team they have is the cheapest possible seven to see out the season. The money lodged with the bspa means they should get paid. Lets hope theres a buy out in place for 2017. Be a shame after all the hard work to see the land flattened for houses.

Coventry V Lakeside 26th August
Steve Shovlar replied to NeilWatson's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Isn't it refreshing that the edr system has worked, improving British riders who would possibly have not even had a chance at a team berth. Next year teamgb will have youngsters in the four. They won't win the swc but they will give their all and not argue over what percentage of the prize money they should get. Ellis and Bates have really benefitted and next season Ellis should be in the SWC with Bates as reserve. Garrity has improved also but just needs to learn to ride a bike with more finesse. He would be a far better rider if he didn't overlock and hang himself off it in untidy angles. With Woffinden having exiled himself its time to say bye bye and bring in the youngsters. -

Gavan has had his nose completely knocked out of joint by Ellis's dad so he will never, ever admit young Adam is better than the pair of them. Never in a month of sundays. Lakeside just don't deserve to be in the playoffs. That team was just as bad as the team put out by Leicester at Poole this week. -
Didn't you know we are all millionaires down here and drink champagne in the bars of Sandbanks every evening? Just heading over to pick up 'Arry, Jaimie, Louise and family. The good news is the weather is good with a dry day, so no extra stress worrying if meetings are going to be on or not. Leaving Poole at 5.30 am, picking up shaleshifter at 6.15 then heading up to Manchester, in the hope of arriving before 10.30. Should miss any heavy traffic on the road. Then a slow drive down to Leicester for the evening meeting. Loads of time to spare. Hopefully 8 big points and happy days! (wishful thinking)

Poole also go to Kings Lynn.

Too many riders not in form to seriously challenge this season. Reputation made us favourites but when the going gets tough it seems some of our team are happy to collect half a dozen points towards their wages without taking any risk. Too many journeymen. Next year Matt needs to go with a younger lineup of riders with more of an appetite to battle.

Watching the scores over the last few weeks I now believe neither Poole or Belle Vuehave the firepower to counter Wolverhampton. Bringing in Woffinden changes the playing field completely and turns them from semi finalists to favourites for the title. If there are any decent odds available get your money on them. Their home advantage is enough to kill off most challenges, and they have extra fire power now to at least keep it close away from home at the other playoff clubs. I think Matt has missed the opportunity of strengthening up like Wolves have. It is needed and it is unusual for him to let sentiment get in the way of making a move that is required to make a challenge. If Wolves finish top, who will they chose? Get rid of Poole to have an easy final?

King's Lynn V The Wolves 25/08/16

Tungate continues his form from Monday. Scored probably 8-10 more than PK would have scored. To think many Swindon fans wanted him out a few weeks ago. -
No changes as far as I have heard.

High Noon. Belle Vue V Poole Ela. 29/08/16.

Bjarne came in to replace Davey Watt and did all that was required of him. The problem is he has no speed. Its not his bikes, it is him. He has been a fantastic servant for Poole speedway and a Hall Of Famer. But now we are at the business end of the season, and with him likely to move back up into the team, we need points to come from his position and I don't think it will happen. If he rides on Monday he will gate, be in the lead for a lap before surrendering his position. He couldn't maintain it at Poole last night so little chance at Belle Vue. If he was replaced by Milik for example, it would bolster our chances no end. He is in great form, loves big tracks and rides Poole well. -

Saw the crowd myself watching heat 15. Place looked almosr deserted. If there were 1000 there most left before then last race. Yes you have to market the product. Poole was packed last night against no hopers Leicester. Guess Ford knows how to market a meeting. -

The one problem I and others have when the block a poster is than when they are quoted I get to see their posts. In this instance I don't mind as it confirms I have done the right thing by blocking the troll. The funny thing is, he doesn't seem to realise he is the troll! Every post full of anti Poole venom. Whether its the team, Matt Ford, Middlo, individual riders connected with Poole, the list goes on and on. No one takes him seriously simply because of the continuous bile he throws at the club, management, riders and some Poole fans. Now he has even made s pillock of himself by picking an argument with the father of one of the ridrrs who has seen straight through the crap he spews. Nothing against young Bates but it"s clear to everyone now that Ellis is at a different level at this stage in their careers, yet he bleats on about Bates being better at international level. Really? When Ellis had a broken collar bone? Adam Ellis and Brady Kurtz would be the first two names on the 2017 team sheet if I was Matt. We need youngster with desire to succeed and those two have it in bucketloads. No offence to riders who have had good careers but we need to avoid journeymen. Riders who are nearing the twilight of their career who have enough experience to score 7 points in Poland, Sweden and Uk to earn a good wage at the end of the month without taking many risks. We want riders who want to win first and foremost.
