  1. Hasn’t been a blue line for a long, long time. Track has been good, but the heatwave is obviously going to make track prep difficult. Expect to see a saturated track at arrival with plenty of watering during the meeting. Looking forward to tonight. Should be very entertaining.
  2. Sun is baking down here this afternoon. Good luck to the track staff in keeping the moisture in. Should imagine they will be watering all day and throughout the meeting. Currently 27c. In Christchurch.
  3. Looking at the lineups we should win this. Overcast at the moment but sun is due to break through and a high of 24 C.
  4. Sad to read Workington has currently ceased. But not surprising if they were getting crowds of around 250. Struggle to run a NDL team with that figure. But the main issue is surely a mid Saturday afternoon run time. Straight up against football. Speedway can never compete against footy and never will. Hope some type of salvage job can be done to rescue the season. They should then drop down to NDL.
  5. Bloody hell can anyone understand Dickson? Sounds like Rab C Nesbitt!
  6. For those slagging off Tatum, remember he is meant to be doing Chris Louis job.
  7. Totally expected that decision from Turnbull.
  8. What is Hancock on? First bend bunching? Sit down!
  9. Hope that aerial footage is not live. Place is nowhere near full.
  10. Easy win for Poole at half throttle, certainly in the second half of the meeting. Richings very unlucky. Smith wobbled and fell in front of him, he had to let go of his bike and it looked like it hit the airfence then bounced back into him. Smith should clearly have been excluded but all four back. End of Richings night. But one things for sure. He has shown enough to be picked up straight away and will have no problem finding a team place elsewhere. Better than the majority of number 7’s I have witnessed this season. Lawson on fine form. Heat one was a classic. The rest have been documented here already. A tougher test in two weeks time.
  11. Kurtz was too weak in the final. Mind you he did have a spill which may well have affected him. Helium wins and the series is over.
  12. A Decent to good GP. Friday night a far better GP IMO. Disappointing Zmarzlik won tonight. Does nothing for the sport on the world stage. Jockey on the fastest bikes.
  13. lol I genuinely forgot it was on. To make it worse I was in Sutton Coldfield until 3pm and then drove back to Poole. I would easily have headed to Belle Vue and watched it live had I remembered it was on. Loads of empty seats so no issue in getting a ticket.
  14. British GP at Cardiff was something I looked forward to for weeks. I completely forgot this was even on. Shows how the sport at the top has faded away. flicking through the channels I saw it was on, but too late to start watching it. Luckily SpeedwayRUS on Telegram had it up ten minutes after it had finished it, so I just watched it fast forwarding between heats. Meeting was good with some very good racing at times, especially Bewley at the end. Hopefully I will remember tomorrow. If anyone is interested, SpeedwayRUS (think he has just changed the stream name) has every Polish, Swedish and Premiership match televised online a few minutes after it has ended. Download Telegram, search for this channel and watch speedway out your ears.
  15. Very unfortunate and a rider I like very much. Comes across as articulate and a very nice chap. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Who can take his rides if r/r?
  16. Well I think Kerr better leave the bikes he’s using tonight at home on Wednesday. Miles off it tailed off with three last places.
  17. Jason Edwards ruled out tonight after a crash in heat two at Kings Lynn.
  18. Poole are far from last years team in terms of strength and quality. So last night came as a pleasant surprise that we turned over the clear favourites for this season on their own patch. Wonder what the score would have been if Boughen had been riding instead of Barker.
  19. I thought Kerr did tonight what he was signed for. He won heat 14 and he had to do that. Let’s hope he continues to improve and his scoring going ahead reflects this.
