  1. Then have the common decency to say you accused the wrong person. Not ‘let’s blame Shovlar anyway”. I wished Stewart Dickson the very best in a speedy recovery the moment I heard about it.
  2. So you accuse me, wrongly, of causing Stewart Dickson heart attack, have been told it wasn’t me by several other posters, yet won’t retract and apologise. is that right?
  3. Just watched the latest forecast and it’s a dry afternoon with a fresh breeze at Leicester so a good drying wind with temperature up to 20 degrees C . The issue is rain in the early hours, clearing by 10 am to leave a dry, breezy but warm day tomorrow, so there’s an opportunity. What we don’t know is how the track has responded today and whether they have managed to dry it out. Or simply bladed the slosh off to the inside.
  4. But by doing so Leicester can just say the track is not fit for the foreseeable future so we win by us (Leicester) defaulting.
  5. That isn’t going to happen and you know it. The rules are clear. All teams signed up for playoffs. Pressure is on Leicester to solve their issues with the track. Everyone wants them to sort it so the league can be settled.
  6. We don’t want a one legged final. If the Leicester track remains unfit then use another track close by or use Belle Vue, which was rideable last night.
  7. Having heart issues rather than “on the sick”. They could always call up Terry the Trackman as he is based in the midlands.
  8. Was asked not to post. Respecting the senders request. Posted a description instead. Now makes no difference. Forecast is poor.
  9. Water the initial cause but perhaps if I the track had just been left alone rather than churning it up the damage might not have been so bad? So on BSN last night they were advertising the Premier Pairs meeting which is due to take place here on Monday night. Shouldn’t the Championship Final take precedence? If tomorrow is cancelled, then Monday should be the rerun date with the PP being put back a few days.
  10. Latest is the track staff are blading all the slop off the track today to take it right back. But rain is now due tomorrow morning. An early call off would be appreciated for the hundreds of travelling fans making the long journey up.
  11. I can’t share the photo as I was told when receiving it not to post it. Sorry I would if I could. the whole of the back straight is in the photo taken from the pits gate looking towards the third bend, with a back of a tractor in the forground. The grader is plastered in very wet slosh, and it is the same the whole way down the back straight. You would need a pair of wellies to shuffle through it.
  12. The only riders it will affect would be the home team as their setups would be shot.
  13. If the track had not been touched it would never be like it is today. It looks like track work has made it far worse than just leaving it alone. Rain doesn’t make a track like today. Human intervention with heavy tractors has done this.
  14. I have been sent a picture taken today of the Leicester track. You would struggle to believe just how bad it is. An utter quagmire. The only solution if they have any chance is to blade everything off and sprinkle down a bit of dirt on the base. How it has got like this is beyond comprehension.
  15. Playoffs have been going for 20 years and have been the best thing to happen to the sport. Bloody love them, even when we finished top in 2010 and lost to a team 24 points behind us. Massive crowds, thrills and winners crowned Champs. Nothing better.
  16. Hearing they haven’t managed to get on the track with tractor as it’s too wet with clumps of clay. Needs to dry out for tractor to be used. Not looking good at the moment.
  17. That’s simply not true. We want champions who ever it is. No point participating in a sport if there’s no winner. Winning is everything.
  18. Hearing the Leicester track man Graham thinks the track is currently in a terrible state and “beyond redemption” Caused by the amount of clay in it. They have been working on it today but conditions are bad. So what are Leicester going to do about it? Or do we do the obvious and call the result after one leg? Seems unfair but if that’s the way the cookie crumbles, so be it.
  19. If the track in Leicester can’t be sorted for Saturday, then the BSPA should step in and demand the meeting is run at Monmore or Birmingham. That way it’s not too far for the Leicester fans to travel.
  20. Play the second leg at Monmore. Clegg knows the track well as does Mountain. Howarth knows the fastest way around there…...oops
  21. Ward got attacked and hit his head on the kerb. Not the same as Kurtz and Jack Holder getting rat arsed the night before the most important meeting of the season. Guess that’s why both were shown the door.
  22. Due to clear in next we mins to leave a dry and breezy day. Dry all day tomorrow. Looks like Leicester riders will be greeted by a differently prepared track on Saturday, similar to what the Poole riders had to face last night, which gives an advantage to the away side.
  23. Poole haven’t got those couple of Aussies going on the piss the night before in the team.
  24. What rain? The next two days are dry with sunny periods. Just watched the latest forecast. Perhaps, if Leicester can’t sort their track out, the meeting needs to be run at Wolverhampton or Peterborough.
