Scunthorpe V Berwick - Friday, August 2nd (7.30pm)
Django replied to lucifer sam's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Best wishes to Ricky -
Think it will be just a straight swap for Rene and Rich but I would personally go for Rene, Tero, Rich, Rusty, Kyle, Chris and Ash. Kyle could hold his own in heat 13 now and Rich and Rusty have proved they can ride together several times in heat 15 this year

Workington Vs Plymouth 27/9/13 7pm
Django replied to Django's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The absence of Campton put us on the back foot to begin with but there's been plenty of time to change, I do think going out in the play offs is the most likely ending now. Newcastle, Edinburgh, Ipswich and Somerset are all better than us at the moment -

7 points dropped at home in recent weeks after being seemingly untouchable there, question is - is the riders or the track? -

Massively disappointed to see them lose tonight, fair play to Plymouth, fought hard and adapted to a difficult track better than our lads. Richie Worrall was the best rider on the night with Mikkel Bech a close second. For the Comets Rich and Rusty struggled, Rich seems to be really missing his Dads help now -
And Bach to Worky number 1

Wrong. Sounds like we both might know the same amount and both have reasons to feel close to it, best leave it alone. -

I don't particularly care what you've said on the subject. I found your comment on this thread offensive. I'm not a Liverpool fan but it is a subject close to my heart -

That specific chant IS in reference to Hillsborough and if you have reason to know better then you shouldn't make such flippant comments. A stereotypical, narrow minded, bigoted view. I'd love to have a debate on speedway with you but sadly that crosses a line and you can't see it. -

That sort of comment is seriously offensive, why bring a football tragedy into this? If you don't think you have you are wrong -
Back off my holidays and can't wait to get back to Derwent Park! Looking forward to seeing Mikkel Bech, so hopefully a good meeting in store. Looks like we've got a new number 1 as well but probably not until next week I think
-
I think they meant a new 7 point assessed rider wouldn't have enough meetings

Workington V Somerset 20th July
Django replied to crazysue's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
We looked like losing this all the way through until the end, fantastic heat 15, crowd went crazy! Certain riders under performing again is a big cause for concern, but hey, we are top of the league -
I think it will be close between yourselves and Redcar for the 6th place

Workington fund was launched on Saturday with a very generous personal donation from a supporter and I have seen Newcastle and Redcar have launched their fundraising (Redcar's was a bit gun to the head style though!)

Somerset V Workington Koc 5 July

It could also show as an example of closer (therefore better and more exciting) racing in the Premier League -

Yes, a 'Golden Heat' was talked about as a possibility at Somerset last week before things went pear-shaped. I'd love to see Cook and Barker one on one to decide it - box office! Is Barker fit? -

If there is an opportunity to criticise Workington then SCB usually takes it -

My apologies, it was not meant as a personal attack, just a gutting and hugely frustrating end to a long day. Congratulations to Somerset. I look forward to coming back in the league -

Speaking as someone who was at all 3 matches I don't have to justify it to Mr Fire who I don't believe was at either -
Somerset V Workington Koc 5 July

I don't think anyone can seriously argue that Somerset haven't had the rub of the green over the 3 legs of our two legged match -

Sounds like a bit more good fortune for Somerset to see them through. Great effort from the Comets when everyone was writing them off -

So people are saying we need a change, who would people bring in? July averages have Mills on 4.28 and Morris on 3.59.
