Edinburgh V Workington (lc) 11/4/14 @ 7.30pm
Django replied to Mr Blobby's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Wasn't far off in my prediction!!! 22 points for Edinburgh reserves against 4 for Comets (excluding Bonus points) tells everything that is wrong with the team and why we will fall just short of the big prizes. Still think we will give some teams a real going over when those top 5 all fire but with only 3 performing tonight it left too big a gap. Cookie a class apart again -

I reckon about 52-38 to the Monarchs with another Cookie max -
The Workington V Edinburgh match should be a really good one, two well matched teams who should be fighting it out for honours at the end of the season. the battles between Craig Cook and the top Workington riders should be great, I'm sure Cookie will be looking for a maximum and track record too. Of course the weather may be a factor but there is a covered, seated grandstand with a couple of burger vans and bars. Hope to see you there!

Please don't tarnish all Workington supporters with the same brush Auty isn't one of the most popular riders at Derwent Park with some justification (the Kenny Ingalls incident) but for what Hall reportedly did to him yesterday is an utter disgrace and he should be facing a lengthly ban. If he had internal injuries a kick in the stomach could have been life threatening.

Premier League Absences And The New Elite Priority Rule
Django replied to oldtimer's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
For Workington Josh misses 2 matches and Ricky and Ash miss 4 (one of which was Saturday just gone) I think Kyle misses quite a few of Coventry's matches -
Workington Vs Glasgow - Lc - Sat 29/3/14 7pm

When you factor in the racecard it's cheaper. Also the Berwick season ticket only includes normal league and league cup, the Workington one includes more ( last years was the Ian Thomas Shield, all league, both cups, play offs, GB vs Aus and Cumberland Open) That's 17 meetings vs guaranteed 19, more than likely 22-24 meetings -
I think it's getting installed this weekend, I'm sure it'll be there for next Saturday!
-
I dearly hope I'm quoting you on that somewhat arrogant statement come October
-
Worky didn't get a guest last year when Howarth was in the Under 21s, if it's a number 1 missing then you would
-
Next one should be who conceded the most 5-1s!
-
No Worky pairs in the list, Lawson and Bach (14) Howarth and Harrison (11) Lawson and Harrison (10) were our top combinations Robson/Worrall, Robson/Lindgren, Robson/Henry?
-
Doesn't Edberg ride Sweden on Thurs?
-
Differences as I see them are I don't think Rose has the potential to have the impact Kerr had at this stage and having someone to kick on to the extent Worrall did on a 5.7(from memory) which was an absolute steal. I'm sure Rosen will be at least an 8 point rider but I think Lindgren, Robson and Henry will maintain theirs averages rather than push on much. Also Kerr may find it harder in the main body of the team for the early part of the year (as Howarth did last year) That is my opinion anyway and I may well be proved totally wrong and you guys sweep all before you!

As an indicator I think 6 of our 40 provisional fixtures are affected. Not a huge amount (Grajczonek, Wells, Morris)
-
I think it was always planned that the extra fixtures would be 'reasonably' close by
-
You come to us on 22/8 and 6/9

From what I can see (I stand to be corrected!!!) we will miss Ricky and Ash for 4 matches (Glasgow at home in the league cup, Somerset home and away in PLKOC and away at Rye in the league) and Josh for 2 matches against Berwick away and Somerset at home in the league. Just as well we own Kyle now, could have been worse!
-
Sheffield and Glasgow twice in the league, should be good, lots of visits for Rusty!!!
-
Presumably that means Lakeside now get first call on him over Redcar! They may well be annoyed
-
Surprised to see Lawson has been sold to Lakeside, suppose after buying Rene and Kyle the books need to be balanced
-
Really promising performances from Josh and Mason in the Aussie Champs, bodes well for the season ahead Love this on the FaceBook site https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=612568822124998&set=a.559439854104562.1073741829.154199757961909&type=1&theater

Bit of guesswork at this stage but I bet I'm not far off with them, strong top 3 looking likely
