Belle Vue v Birmingham Monday 7th July PL2
Racin Jason 72 replied to Brummies_Ste's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
You would think a fitting farewell would be a 4 team tournament. Birmingham Coventry wolves and cradley for the Alan Grahame memorial trophy. a potentially bumper crowd -
Originally Joe Thompson was destined to be at two but cami calculator didn’t realise it would take them 0.01 over the limit so Ashton was signed / poached from Oxford despite already having signed a contract with the cheetahs.

Birmingham v Sheffield Mon 16th June PL
Racin Jason 72 replied to Brummies_Ste's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It’s complete nonsense on several levels. Why leave it a day before the meeting before digging up the track. the trench only needs to be wide enough for a wire. Spade width at most. No problem for a tractor with its big wheels. if the trench is wider cover it with plywood to enable the tractor to travel over. The truth is they completely overwatered the track far too late. Just say it as it is. Apologise to the last few fans you still have. You can see why no riders wanted to return from last year. -

Birmingham once again showed how inept they are at everything. At least the ring master is in attendance and seems to be several clowns there. -
Ipswich vs Sheffield Thursday 12th June

Really good meeting with lots of action. Flint really impressed for the visitors. I’m no jack holder fan but fair play to him for riding heat 15 and the superheat considering he has a gp tomorrow. another superb crowd royally entertained. -
King's Lynn Stars 2025
Racin Jason 72 replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The bigger question is do we put far too much pressure on our young riders. a sensational debut season in the NDL doesn’t necessarily equate to a international career. Drew kemp for example was dynamite for mildenhall. Got called up in the championship for Ipswich and scored 14 at Scunthorpe on his debut and everybody’s expectations sky rocketed. big moves to big clubs with big pressure didn’t work particularly well but now he is settled and allowed to progress at his own pace he has blossomed. Ashton was fast tracked to team GB and maybe that was too early ? I just hope will cairns and cooper rushton are allowed to progress in their own time without the pressure. -
King's Lynn v Ipswich KO Cup SF 1st leg 02/06/25

I would like to think he has been asked and declined. I think most Ipswich fans myself included are expecting a defeat on Monday. But listening to the excellent pride of the east podcast this morning it seems the lynn fans aren’t confident either over two legs this could be absolute classic clash
