I’m definitely not a tech person but I do get my speedway star digitally and have done for 4 years now. used to go to the newsagent early on a Thursday morning and hope it was in. On a bank holiday it would sometimes be Saturday before a got it. none of that now. Straight to my phone on midnight Wednesday. I can read it anywhere and anytime. suits me perfectly but I completely understand why many prefer the magazine option

I would like to see each club have an app which would be identical in format. I would like the match day programme to be available and be able to compile my programme during the meeting digitally. maybe a couple of cameras fixed in each pit area so during breaks I can see the action in the pits rather than tractor racing. id like the presenter to interview team managers and riders during the meeting as normally over the pa you cannot hear properly. id like to vote for my rider of the night and maybe have competitions to enter. Guess the final score and two top scorers would win a pit tour the following week I’d like information during the week of future meetings and news. Promotions for app users this in my view would give my race day experience a much better value for money without the clubs spending a fortune.

Reading between the lines it looks like Poole have tapped him up for next season.

More tragic than magic.

Reminds me very much of Leigh adams. A brilliant league rider but no quite hard enough on the Grand Prix stage to outfight riders in the first bend and not quite as ruthless as you need to be at the highest level

The three things that are the most important were spot on. Track , quality of racing and the pace of the meeting the track was very smooth and slick which is perfect for riders starting out in their careers. the racing was competitive and close in the main. yes several teething problems but nothing that can’t be easily sorted lovely to enjoy Saturday night speedway again and the racing looks so much better under lights.

A excellent summary.

Really important that the reopening meeting goes smoothly. it needs to start on time and run at a decent pace. Both teams are running R/R so many riders will need extra time. get tonight right and mildenhall will thrive however if we go back to four hour marathon I fear it will be the final nail. im looking forward to seeing some racing tonight and I wish everyone the best of luck.
