Feel a bit sorry for Tom. Garry may always has a rider in his teams like a sacrificial lamb who will only get 3 rides and normally they will be on outside gates against stronger opponents and the other reserve will get the easier rides in better gates. nothing wrong with using those tactics and I’m sure the riders know this before they sign up

Well he was recruited by Birmingham who have an outstanding record in poor signings. Spent lots of time in the pits on the spanner’s so I guess it stands to reason he is the ideal candidate. on par with Peter Schroek imo

Thought Northampton could have got a draw if Chris Adam’s was on the bail. Should have replaced batch from his last ride and put Harrison in instead as it was a three rider race thus allowing Thomson to replace Harrison in heat 14.

My favourite season was 1990 too. Chris Louis Alan mogridge dean standing Shane parker and David Norris provided brilliant entertainment home and away. Young hungry riders going places. Although Dean standing didn’t fulfill his promise he was an incredibly stylish rider who should and could have had a long career in the sport.

No falls and showed no signs of discomfort from the terraces but he may have been hobbling around in the pits. he got a medical certificate from the track after the meeting. Will be interesting to see if he rides this weekend.
