I think cook is getting far too much stick. He is a very good second string but not a number one. he hasn’t been a championship number one even last year he rode mostly at number 3 rather than 5 which is the easier heat leader berth. whoever is number one at lynn is going to struggle because of how the team is built. I have no doubt cook will drop to reserve and score prolifically and bomber will go to number one and he will struggle against fellow number one’s. I think Lynn will do ok at home most weeks but could struggle against the likes of Ipswich and Sheffield

Every time I’ve watched a Oxford meeting on stream it’s always a dust bowl the bowser is totally inadequate and is unable to put enough water down during the meeting. But it always seems it’s far too dry from heat one. Maybe they can’t get on the track early due to the greyhound

A great evening which brought make memories of 1998. One thing stood out tonight and that was how all the riders were constantly looking for each other and team riding when possible. the team spirit and camaraderie looks the best it’s been for many years.

Hopefully we get to race lynn in the semi final. But a shame it couldn’t be the final. imagine the crowds and atmosphere if Ipswich met Lynn in a playoff final !!!!

I know at Ipswich there are 4 different manufacturers but obviously black is the same everywhere. I believe colours and shades have different codes which are internationally recognised nowadays
