How come it’s open 5 days a week during construction for greyhound racing yet speedway can’t return til building is completed. Why can’t the stadium be closed on the back straight while the new stand is erected. Once that is up and running then you could close the other half of the stadium and demolish the old stand. it’s not difficult

Wonder if the masons might relocate ? Definitely a bigger fan base at Eastbourne than Birmingham and access to the track would not be a problem

What was the size of the crowd ?

I can’t see the current 6 team league continuing in its present form and who knows what crazy plans they will or probably won’t do next year. So pointless speculating til we know the format. Id definitely keep Danny but not fussed about the rest really.

What’s the big announcement about next season ?

We should have held a Billy Sanders memorial meeting as a grand finale. could have had a England v Australia test match which would be a fitting tribute to a proper witches legend.

You will be pleased to know that Jake did recover from his covid jab and scored in every ride for Redcar tonight. now who would have thought it !!!!!

Is Jake Allen riding tonight ?

Maybe I’m just cynical but If he does ride it will be more fuel on the fire

Is there some beef between drew and anders ? In heat 2 drew seemed to do everything he could do to stop Anders pass him and challenge the panthers riders

Compare that response to Barry Bishop at the IOW who took on board a fan’s suggestion. Implemented it at a meeting. Asked for feedback on the success which was positive and promptly rewarded the fan to entry to the next meeting as a guest of the club. that’s how to treat a customer properly

I don’t think he is bluffing this time. He has transformed the stadium and now he probably feels it’s a good time to retire and get away from all the hassle of running a speedway club.

We had a similar situation at Ipswich when all the riders apart from the two captains wanted to give it a go. It will come as no surprise those two riders were schlien and cook. Usual suspects. While I accept rider safety is paramount and quite rightly, I get very annoyed when the riders don’t at least try the surface before condemning it. there is no consideration at all for the paying customer on the riders part and if anyone can sort a wet track out it’s Buster as I’ve witnessed many times before.

Because 6 Sheffield riders didn’t want to ride.

That sounds like the SCB and the BSPL have their hands out first and then hang them out to dry. if the riders do move on then Newcastle should have first shout. But we all know money talks and they will go to Glasgow

Dust clouds are unacceptable. Old or new fans don’t want to get filthy while watching speedway. another problem is riders hate the track been watered during the meeting. If the track has been prepared properly in the first place then watering shouldn’t be needed unless it’s a really hot day. if you fail to prepare then prepare to fail I’m afraid
