Nor at Ipswich to start with either. Came back considerably overweight and struggled. Compare that to the previous year when he shared a workshop and gym facilities with Scott nicholls and he was a different rider. He has huge potential but needs to put the effort in off the track to get the rewards. We are told he in training so hopefully the penny has dropped. Always remember joe screeen claiming every march he was the fittest he has even been when in reality it was the fattest
-
A fit and determined cam is a very welcome addition at reserve.
-
And we would still win at Arlington
-
As mentioned previously kasper cannot double up as he is riding for Sheffield on a assessed average
-
I’m not in charge unfortunately. If we can’t afford a decent team to start with then I doubt we will be able to strengthen later. Middle order riders are easy to find during the season but we need a out and out number one. There seems to be none out there willing to ride so to find one later is going to be impossible. Im happy with a solid team providing we have a effective number one.
-
I can’t see Lynn not signing him. A genuine world class rider who is loyal. Also on a low average which potentially could go up by two points. If he doesn’t ride for Lynn I would expect him to not ride in the U.K. at all.
-
You can’t put a two point rider in regardless of nationality.
-
And that is why self interest has killed the top league. A while ago when I said Ipswich would be shafted I was told it would not be in busters best interests to have a poor team at foxhall. Common sense says if you have two world class riders and two teams then you would have one each surely ???? As for drew. You would take him as quickly as you did with Richard knight mark loram and Tony rickardsson. Who would blame you either. We don’t want premiership racing. We don’t want buster as our owner. We just want our club back.
-
Any ideas when the rest of your team will be announced ?
-
When the full kings Lynn team is announced will for me say if we have been properly shafted. If lynn have lambert and Niels iversen is the team together it will confirm my suspicions. They are both world class quality riders and if buster did want what’s best for Ipswich speedway he would have one at each track. To go up with a champion team without a proper number one will be a financial disaster
-
Ipswich speedway is his income. Now I imagine he is on a salary and hasn’t got the worries of losing a fortune anymore.
-
We have been purchased simply to keep the number of clubs up so the premiership didn’t collapse. If it had collapsed the financial implications from the bt deal would be severe. Its cheaperto use Ipswich as a sacrifice to keep the league running for a further year before it implodes again. Peterborough are not working to the same budget as Ipswich.
-
A solid team can work. I remember a hull team that came in late to join the premier league and had just the unwanted riders to choose from. My fear is that if you compare the top two heat leaders from each team then Ipswich could suffer. Of course we don’t know our team yet. Belle Vue - Fricke And Bjerre kings lynn - lambert And iversen??? poole - holder and Kurtz swindon - Doyle And batchelor wolves - masters and schlien peterboro - cook and Andersen ipswich ??? King and Lawson if we are unable to get a proper number one. If this happens heats 13 and 15 are not going to be pretty.
-
Time will tell I guess.
-
And I would like to know if the buy back clause has protection over our current assets as we may find Drew Kemp may not be included and remains a buster asset. This is my biggest fear.
-
I’ve heard this from two different people who are unconnected but both have good connections. I have said this is a rumour and nothing more as yet
-
If Peterborough are not sold before the season starts it’s rumoured that two heat leaders will have to agree to busters pay terms rather than geds terms or they won’t be riding for Peterborough.
-
But where are these top riders who want to ride in the U.K. ??? Scott nicholls hasn’t been approached as allegedly the terms they could offer were so poor they didn’t bother to insult him. Tungate has burnt his bridges and the only quality available rider Is iversen and I’m sure he will either return to Lynn or not return to the U.K. David Bellego is available and I think Lawson is a cert along with Heeps. I’d take Erik Riss but I’m sure buster wants him at Lynn. We could end up with a timo lahti st number 1. I just cannot see where we are going to get a decent heat leader from.
-
Are Somerset reverting back to a Friday night race night or keeping with Wednesday evenings. Are you allowed to race on sat nights as I would have thought the traffic would be better and you might attract the holiday makers who normally travel on a Friday
-
As a Ipswich fan who has been used to getting regular information via the local newspapers and social media channels I can see your frustration. Since the takeover we are getting very little information. We have signed 4 riders before Christmas and we only know the identities of two of them. There is a wall of silence which is alienating the fans or customers as we should be referred to. I can’t for the life of me see the benefits of this way of operating. Just seems it’s busters way or the highway.
-
Need to sign both !!
-
Ahh so that’s why I can’t get the digital version today.
-
Bspa asset so he is not tied to any club.
-
I’ve looked under my Christmas tree and I haven’t got a heat leader there. Hope Chris Louis has more luck !!! Merry Christmas everyone whoever you support
-
He is now a employee of buster. He will do his best with the budget that buster has set. I believe he was wholly frustrated at the agm as he had listened to the fans who wanted more fixtures and regular weekly racing. And then when that was ignored he thought how can I run my business with just 15 paydays. And he simply had enough. Just my opinion. I would like to thank Chris and John for all they have done for the club. All good things must end. And we have had a great 30 years under their control
