Our fixture list seems to pan out like, every now and again for the first three months then all hell lets loose for the last three, come the business end riders are either injured or burned out and we end up polishing wood instead of metal? -

Only the second match I've seen this year and, despite the score, it wasn't a bad one at all!! Whereas after the first leg I thought the result would hinge on the performance of the reserves it actually turned on the performances of the middle order, Somerset had one, we didn't? Always looked the team most likely, Somerset, to win last night, had the capabilities to get the results from each heat as and when required, the heat winner could have come from anywhere and we just couldn't match that? Yeah, we had a few mishaps along the way but, we can't make the usual excuses, if's and but's could have seen us squeeze a very narrow win and preserve the home record but to be fair, if that had happened Somerset would have been more than justified in having a grievance, they were just better all round and fully deserved the win not just on the night but overall!! Here's hoping we can put this behind us now and move onwards and upwards, need to get some consistency back as a team and that will only happen if we are racing matches not sitting at home with our feet up, looked well rusty yesterday and it showed? -
Bit of a "come and get me" score that, Comets should be well capable of pulling back 14pts at home but, Somerset are very good up here and this could very well come down to how well each other's reserves do? Poor performance from our pairing tonight but they should be better at home and Somerset's, well, ain't ever seen them before but, they seem capable enough to adapt judging by the updates site so, yeah, could be a very interesting 2nd leg?

It's a long time since we bothered the forty pts mark up there, not a bad effort I suppose on the face of it but, we need more than Wells in double figures to trouble the away wins column? -
Workington Comets V Redcar Bears 9/4/16 7pm Lc

Satisfactory result for the Comets, fair spread of the points throughout the team, promising start to the season!! -
Well hopefully it will be worth the wait then, get this visa business put to bed once and for all, take the weight off his shoulders and allow him to do what he does best, and, in a Comets race jacket!!
-
After all the trouble he's caused on here he'd better had score some big points next summer, the eyes of the PL World are upon him!!
-
Once his name started being bandied around Mason signing had that air of inevitability about it? Well, we have him now so we'll just have to wait and see if he really can be as good as a few on here expect him to be or, another let down? Five pts off leaves us with what, 6/6.5pts to play with, interesting area to play in that, should be a useful performer somewhere we can get, any chance we'll be done this side of Christmas?
-
Certainly rode like it!!
-
My thought's exactly!! Rode very well as a guest for us, I think it was our final home match and the question was asked, any thought's on where he'd like to be next year, he was erm, very coy on that?
-
Been long already?
-
Think the idea behind SCB's post was in asking you which "fact" you didn't agree with, however, to me the first part is an "opinion" the second is a "fact" therefore, he should have asked which "part" you did not concur with!! Correct, I'm bored!!
-
I thought Wethers would be a nailed on cert for the No6 slot next year, scoring pts for fun at the back end and starting so late had a very attractive start average, would have been an ace in the hole for us as a rider more than capable of mixing it at either two or four should the averages dictate during the season? Don't know if the management had any option to take him but I certainly think we've missed out there, he's going to be wasted at Berwick, would have been far better suited riding for us!!
-
Thank's for that J, a goodly amount of points available then, should get some useful riders with that?
-
Makes more sense to me to have the Ht leaders in place first rather than your middle men, if Campton fails to achieve the standard, and we are hanging around waiting on the outcome, it could easily be that the best men for the job have gone elsewhere and we end up with a very long tail? How many points are left at the moment to play with and, taking Campton,s average aside, what value HT leaders can we get for the price?
-
Comets management shouldn't make commitments to riders who couldn't cut the mustard when they had the chance, sorry, may be a nice guy but, not for me!! Agreed, but not just crap Aussies!! Only to the asylum if it happens, been there done that, time to move on and try something new!!
-
Certainly would look to give Matt Williamson another go, has potential if he fancied it, tho I wouldn't entirely draw a line through Nathan Greaves either I'd like him to find another 10mph first? With the improving latter season scoring I would even be tempted to give a swansong to Mattie Wethers, experienced and versatile middle/res rider could be very handy to have from the get go this time around?
-
Well done Edinburgh, thoroughly deserving Champions, did it in the League proper and now just emphasised their superiority in this, top side!! Tough on Glasgow losing their top man, would certainly have made a better fist of it if Summers had been there but hey, that's life, still done well this year so cant complain too much, got to have good vibes for next year after this!!
-
But do they tho, where is the physical proof that this happens, your just speculating that this is the case as none of the relevant details with regards to actual attendances for play off matches v regular league fixtures are ever made available for scrutiny? You may enjoy your play offs for whatever reasons you choose that's your prerogative, I however object to them on the moral grounds that the league fixtures have decided who is Champions not some six match programme at the end of it, and thats mine?

Good to see Kenny Hansen getting the hang of Armadale, hope it continues into next year and we get to trouble 40pts!!
