Josh Bates was thrown in at the deep end on the eve of the season due to Irving retiring. It was perhaps a bit too early for him, but he gave it 100% in every race. By the end of the season, he was one of the most improved riders in all 3 Leagues. Very highly rated by his fellow riders, I think he will surprise a few people on here that are knocking him.

Speedway Star Toothless Pussycat

Buy the Speedway Star off the shelf during the season, & think its good value for money. Having worked in the print trade for 13 years a while back, I am also amazed that they can keep a small run magazine so cheap. -
Think the weather we are having in Peterborough at the moment might mean the meeting is rained off.

When Newcastle are at the EOES, maybe we could have sumo wrestling complete with inflatable costumes as an interval attraction. That should sort you pair out. May the best man win lol. Over to you Neil. -
Surely this was meant as a joke. Rather sad individual if not. Think an explanation from said poster would be appropriate, so that we know the full facts.

With the incredible season ticket prices from the new management, everybody can afford to pay this year. The ironic thing reference admission prices, is that 1 or 2 posters on here who claim its a £10 sport, dont pay to get in anyway ! -

If that figure is correct hans fan, we were a long way short of breaking even, because we didn't get near that figure towards the end of the season. In the middle of the season the crowds were below 1000. Knock off all the freebies, & the gate receipts must have been shocking. -

Even towards the end of last season, the crowds were not sufficient to cover the costs of Elite League racing. Be interesting to know what crowd would have been required to break even last season. -

Time to move on & enjoy our speedway at the EOES. Good luck to the riders & management for the new season. -

In reality Crump 99, the crowd levels over the last few years are not good enough to sustain Elite League Speedway. -
Juan Mata is unable to sign his contract with Man United, because apparently their pens are rubbishe lol.

If Dryml gates, he will take some catching home or away. One of the worst kept secrets but happy that he has finally been announced. -
Taylor Poole lodged at a house 3 doors from me when he last rode over here, & I havent seen him yet. Hope he is coming back, because he is a lovely lad, & a snip on a 6 point average if he steers clear of injury. Would have liked him back with Panthers.

Blackbird is a Mildenhall asset, but I dont think he is riding for Panthers good friday. As the new press officer refuses to answer my question, despite me asking him numerous times, we will have to wait & see. -

Shame you can't answer my question Neil. -
You will never stop teams paying more than the £10 per point limit. They will just invent a sponsor if anyone questions it. Happens in all sports, & is a fact of life that money talks. Makes me admire Jane at Buxton for her enthusiasm when there is obviously an uneven playing field.

Pantherman, I was told the Elite teams got preference, & thats why I asked Neil to clarify the situation. -

As you haven't answered my question reference who has priority with the Elite League reserves Neil, is it because you don't know ? -

Think part of the Elite draft system for reserves was that the Elite teams get preference. Over to you Neil Watson. -

Noodles, the Elite League team get preference on Jacobs & Blackbird, so they will both be missing against Ipswich. -

A top four of Bjerre, Fisher, Dryml & Ostergard would be the envy of the rest of the Premier League. If the other 3 can sustain their averages, I think we have a team that can challenge for the title. -

Crump 99, I watched a lot of Premier League racing last year, & it was very entertaining. Think you will be pleasantly surprised when the season starts. -
Morris should have been given the job.
