Over here we have an internet servise that allows you to make 1/2 inch accurate measurements on anything based on satellite pics. If there was one in the uk for example or PL, would be easy to compare...

Two brand new ones exactly a year ago. He's been flying since. Not necessarily dodgy but brand new. Like he said he felt the difference and after a couple of good performances his confidence sky rocketed. Good for him, he's been struggling or almost making it for 15 years now.

Like others have said, doing it live at the track like you'd be doing it for tv sounds stupid because it's all there to see. Still, I've been an announcer twice and and the way I've done it is that when the green light goes on I've quit talking and when the riders start the 3rd lap I've started talking again. Given the names and standings… Nothing too much but something so the first timers would get some idea. This has been my solution to a question I've pondered for the past umpteen years...
