= ) It was an interesting meeting... All top three teams were in it as we have 4tt format. Anyways it started as pretty ordinary, Haukat (Kaukos team) were favourite as Kotkat (Aarnios team) were without their number 1 Juha Hautamäki (who's a solid 12 point man in practically every meeting he does over here). Sand Blowers were without Timo Lahti so they were expected to struggle especially since Ludvig Lindgren was on a borrowed bike... After 13 heats, thats 2 thirds of the meeting and the last point where heats are equal (against other teams) before the end the score was SB 26, Kotkat 23 and Haukat 21. Hyvinkää has a 8 PM curfew, but it was still all good when heat 17 was at the tapes, three heats to go and 20 minutes to do it. But no... First Janne Nyman falls entering 1st bend and is excluded. Takes about 5 mins and the rerun. Haukat takes 5-1 and is still with a chance to win. Heat 18 goes 5-1 to Kotkat, they are now on 35 points as their meeting is finished. In the last one Haukat needs 5-1 for a win, 4-2 for a runoff. SB is on 32. 3-3 would give a runoff for the win, anything better they'd win... With still about 10 minutes to go, one heat left. HUGE importance for the whole series for each of the three teams. First try, Lindgren makes the best gate he's done, enters 1st bend and helps his teammate to the fence who falls. Heat stopped, rider hurt, clock ticking. They take their reserve for the re-run, still time to do it, huge importance. Lindgren again makes the gate, hit's front and keeps the inside covered with Kauko coming from behind un-available to avoid contact. He hits LL, highsides and hit's the track. Heat stopped, clock ticking, might even have been ambulance on the track. Kauko receiving treatment, 1 minute to go, meeting called as the planning permission is at stake. Points are Kotkat 35, Sand Blowers 32 and Haukat 31. BUT with 4 teams in the meeting, we go backwards in the standings to what it was after heat 17, when all teams had equal amount of heats ridden. So Kotkat are stripped of their 5-1 in heat 18 and are now down to 30 points! Having entered the meeting well beaten, they pull of a miracle of the year with R/R giving 11 points and are in the shout for winning the meeting. But not. Guess how far the toy's flew...

2015 Speedway Gp Challange
f-s-p replied to OveFundinFan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Yeah I visited the Rybnik site and tried to click some banners to no success. To be honest you lost me about in the middle of the bottom row, but the MDMP final is listed on the pzm website calendar, but has no track listed... Thanks anyway, always appreciated! -
Yeah well I was there yesterday with my "Finnish goggles" on and you honestly couldn't make up how to make it up.

Longtrack Grand Prix 2015
f-s-p replied to DutchGrasstrack's topic in Grasstrack, Sidecar, Short Track and Cycle Speedway
He's pulled out from the GP's this season. Spoke with him on saturday and his knee is still pretty bad. So he decided to opt against the GP's. He has raced and will again tomorrow in our speedway league, but with GP level and short tight tracks in the LT, he thought it would be best to leave it. I havent really followed him that closely, but I think the next op will be 4th on his left knee. If and when it happens, they'll pin it so that the ligaments can stay still for about 3 months. Will probably happen this autumn. -
Longtrack Grand Prix 2015
f-s-p replied to DutchGrasstrack's topic in Grasstrack, Sidecar, Short Track and Cycle Speedway
This is what I find "interesting" in longtrack. Riders like Appleton, Phillips, Kröger... someother spend years and years, possibly a couple of decades on the LT and are the "champions" and draw cards. Then comes Kai Huckenbeck, Joonas Kylmäkorpi, Cameron Woodward and others, even A-P Mustonen with a bucket load of cash, buy the right kit and are winners by a margin... -

2016 Sgp Swc Calendar & Info's
f-s-p replied to DutchGrasstrack's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Wasn't the last big race money around 100k. So if every rider gets 10k in the start of the season for "free" from BSI, thats about two rolling bikes with top parts. I could call that substantial help. EDIT: Regarding Tampere SGP2016, I read yesterday that promoter Jarno Kosonen had said after the GP that the time slot for the Tampere SGP might change next year. First of the Finnish football games for UEFA2018 is on Oct 9th 2016 at Ratina. Which currently is still without a pitch. So a 100 meters shorter track at Ratina on top of the pitch that will host UEFA football in October 2016... -

The other one pays fines to the other and it's sorted. -
At the time I took S-Bahn to Henningsdorf (most northern stop) and then DB to Bärenklau. After that it was about 6-8 km's walk with one turn left and another right. From Bundesplatz near the ice racing it was a full day (8-10 hours) both times and we barely left the city.

10 months for alcohol is in the boundaries of your Basic "off-the-shelf" punishments in WADA books. EVEN when we know it's 2 years for the first doping offence you make. They gave a year for a motorcycle rider here in Finland a couple of years ago and SML had to explain to the Finnish WADA/ADT why they were so hard on him. -

f-s-p replied to OveFundinFan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I had almost already written that the meeting was practically organised by Finnish people with clerk of the course experience of around half a dozen or more SGP's, years of speedway refereeing and a couple of LT GP's... But that would not have been taken seriously, at all... -

A question with the most sincere thought behind it, absolutely NO bad feelings behind it, but when has an Italian rider won a meeting of this caliber in the past? Armando himself, way back? The one in front chooses his line first... ? -
And speaking of Denmark, I spoke with Gundersen last summer. They have 130ish 85cc 12-16 years and the same in 50cc microspeedway 5-11. They can afford to "lose" a few to 250cc. We have 10+1. We cant.
