That 4tt is exactly that, just a glorified open meeting... LOL But as has been the case, it "appears" during the meeting... Last time the 85cc YGT was in Denmark, it was ridden at a different track. They just invite who's there on practise/semi day.
-
And they (organizers) are atleast 2 riders short for even those two semi's. Someone has pulled out again. 36 places requested, 32 given and not even that is filled. I guess it's happening for real...

The killing of 85cc has been going on for years now. Main reasons for its survival has been the strong position it's having in Denmark and Sweden. Now from the start of 2016 the YGT age limit is dropped to 15 in the top end and 250cc has been U17 for years. Also what I hear, is that the availibility of these 250cc engines is very limited. Thats just hearsay from people that have tried to get one. With FIM 85cc going to be ages 12-15 and 250cc being 13-17 its gonna effectively cut the number of riders in half in 85cc. It can happen on the world scale, but like over here IMO it's better to stick with 85cc as we have bikes and tracks and a running operation. Trying to split it will kill them both and in the current situation that speedway is in over here, it would not get back up. Actually told this to CCP and look what they did...

SEC is a real championship, the same as SGP. Its FIM Europe and FIM, European and World. SBPC is glorified open meetings.

F U both. Thats proper English for you!

Milik and Smoli are having Jawa stickers. Has that changed back from JRM? Milik and Smoli are having Jawa stickers. Has that changed back from JRM?
-
That does it, I'm with SCB on Killer.
-
Yeah well it has to be... = ) I saw a statement towards this earlier and possibly a member on here has leaked it here as well (not naming U = ))... But what does this mean? What has Emil, Piotr and (not sure) Darcy have in common? Has the FIM been forced now to do something about this?

"Well over" 300 meetings in the uk elite and premier combibed yearly. That equals to about "well over" 4200 rider bookings.Maybe the BSPA really has something they want to protect, as U all hate depleted teams as a enemy #1...

Please tell me, how getting a promoter for this is good? And note that I'm talking of A Promoter. A deal has been made. That usually means that some specifics have been sold to a specific fee. I'm VERY interested to know what EXACTLY has been sold.

Swc...3-man Teams And R/r.
f-s-p replied to customhouseregular's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
In Finland we have 4 man teams in 4TT. Riders are in riding order according to average. If number 1 or 2 is missing, RR can be used for number 1. If the missing rider is number 2, #1 becomes two. Basic idea is to have full heats and give the chance for teams to come with only three riders if there are problems in getting a rider. It works. It allows things but it does not give an advantage. But we are talking about SWC. Teams should be full. Bottom line is that speedway is a small sport, most riders only interested in money and the federations (except PZM) just dont have any. -
Swc Final 2015

Guess PUK used all credits on his hero account last year... -
Timo Lahti beat Kylmä, Puodzuks and Kauko Nieminen separately and together on the German thing again...guess it works.
-
The suspension is for all racing on sunday, not just Poland. A minor yet quite significant difference.
-
6k £ for an engine in mid PL is overpaying. http://www.speedwaysanomat.fi/galleria/2015/2015_smliiga4/ Was at Hyvinkää yesterday, Timo Lahti was riding the new German engine. Said it was good, won all foyr heats when on it. Shame he had to borrow a bike agains Davey Watt-Kauko Nieminen. A few pics early on in the linked gallery.

They say on tv that Lambert and Harris are on This new engine. I wonder if its the 15 min or 20hrs version... Looking fast, no questions!
-
Not all of it. I think there's a fixed rate per point that the home promoter pays for the travelling team.
-
Doing 3-4 matches a week and travelling the rest of it calls for measures. Outsourcing engine care is an easy start.

The Lendava track hosted one of the rounds for the most stupid ever series of seven u21 finals in 2012. Spar made a report prior to the meeting that it was basically run by an ex CCP bigwig. Dont know if he still runs it, but thats how big meeting are gotten over better tracks. Only noticed it later on, but I had an email via some weird connection that there was a livestream sponsored by Lendava city council for the event to gain exposure. Talk about plans backfiring...

Polish Promotion/relegation Sunday 4th October
f-s-p replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
Thought he pracically followed the white line in that one. PK had IMO room to move out. -
Cant do the sport much good either if it's said to be sheit week in week out.
-
No I dont think so. He the contact between the promoters and riders (in Germany). Dont know who "found" him at first, but he's well connected and liked in Finnish longtrack.
-
I've not done any digging on Onesport, but I remember that the company was created to be the promoter for SEC. Cant see them being a threat towards IMG. If FIM Europe try's to rattle the cages, FIM will act. So should we start the beer drinking and internet terror in two hours? Mag is almost ready and everything is set...
-
This meeting is the same as the gp challenge, it's organised by FIM Europe where FIM does the GP qualis. So one could argue, that so far Onesport has not messed up anything...
