cradley v wolves derbies, also the cradley v coventry matches were good other things missing are a good second half , and some interval entertainments... they had to be seen to be believed !!! they were beyond any doubt the best matches every year , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2aI8p9zDb4g the glasgow derbie had nothin on these, turn the sound up and enjoy the good old days! -
stocks run less often, and fans come from all over uk not just two places mainly when its speedway
-
they already have peterboroughs asset list to choose from aswell, squads will kill the elite the rich clubs will be able to afford the better riders , while the poor clubs will be left with the scraps fans want to see a team of the same 7 riders, it gives the club identity, fans dont like going to matches not knowin who is gonna be riding for your club! just sign 7 riders ,if one gets injured sign a new rider simples.....it worked before it will work again..all this squad nonsense is rubbish there aint enough riders as it is

garritys rides to be shared by king , woryna, searjeant, roynon

Lakeside V Poole Friday 1st July

running this match is just a ploy to get others to thinking we need a squad system , when in actual fact it should be post poned -
i think at times kyle has looked stylish , quite quick and looked like he was ready for the next step he's then tended to be inconsistant and struggle maybe the pressure gets to him? as for a comparison to garrity ---- kyle has a neater style , garrity is more flat out and therefore on dodgy tracks can get caught out but seems to want it more, kyle seems like sometimes he gets down and seems to give up

if your right just goes to show the fiddles and corruption in the elite lge why do they continally use PL averages for the EL? even when riders have been riding EL for over 5 yrs its a joke just another loophole for promoters to use ,
-
i also thought the same.... but here we are 6 yrs later and he has stagnated , not improved as expected poole thou are quite happy for him to stay as a strong reserve , maybe he is too
-
that 3rd place was won by sheer guts and determination , you could see his bikes were not quite as quick as some of the others but he dug in and never gave up. if he can find a bit more speed and he keeps up with that attitude he could well get a few more rostrums...
-
i think newman is the one thats gone backwards this year people were expecting him to clean up at reserve and he's been totlly outshone by ellis , an NL rider last yr
-
so has it worked for newman by staying as a draft rider? speedway star PL averages............. newman 6.59 Garrity 8.90

this will be close... -
squad system would ruin british speedway, riders being dictated by there polish clubs some riders just wouldnt turn up then you'd get clubs cancelling fixtures due to there ace number one squad member not being available for a certain fixture that would then mean more guests r/r when they dont ride/carnt ride because clubs would go with what makes the team stronger rather than go with a different rider from squad that made them weaker, which would result in more scope for more fiddling , add to that the increase in costs, and the fact the rich club or clubs would be able to sign a squad of superstars while the poor clubs would have a squad of PL riders just go back to the standard 1-7 if a riders gets injured sign another, fans want to see the same 7 riders each match not a PICK N MIX
-
with this new number 8 rule , is it open to manipulation number 8 carnt replace a reserve but replaces a number 2 second string in the line up so if a team signed a rider of the quality of woryna, or perhaps smektala, or another decent up n coming rider, then say james sarjeant was promoted from reserve to number 2 can the number 8 then replace james in line up?
