  1. Reading the updates, Mitchell has had a really bad crash riding for Birmingham tonight. Fingers crossed it is not as bad as it seems. Wishing him all the best.
  2. Davey scored 2 maximums in his two NL meetings. With the points we have available it would need to be a NL rider to replace him. Not sure there is anyone better at the moment. He also scored well v BV in the Charity Shield. So no need to look at changing a winning team at the moment. Need to give him a few more meetings.
  3. No, the question was after the first lap. If you include down the back straight and bends 3/4 of lap 1 you were probably up to double figures in passes. Iversen made 3 passes on bend 4 lap 1 on his own.
  4. Gate 3 37 points Gate 1 25 points Gate 2 16 points Gate 4 12 points 1 and 3 total 62 2 and 4 total 28. Only Batch won from gate 2 and Morris only winner from Gate 4.
  5. The rules are being made up as they go. How is Vaculik on a 8?
  6. On the BSPA website, Bristol hoping to be one of 6 teams in the SDL if they can find a home. In discussions with Swindon.
  7. I apologise if I have missed it earlier in this thread but any news on how Starman is?
  8. Possibly a rider announcement at the race night tonight according to Swindon Speedway Twitter.
  9. Get well soon Starman. Need you to supply me a couple of winners at Cheltenham.
  10. While I agree you normally needed a strong reserve to swap in to the top 5, last year the top 3 teams had the lowest averaging reserve pairings. Adam and Bradley swapped places but I think both Belle Vue and Wolves reserves stayed there. The 5 riders signed this year all had their best season last year so are improving. No reason as of yet to assume that will stop. Quite happy for people to write us off again.
  11. Batch finished 9th in his first season above Lindgren and Iversen. Can see Cook finishing 10th plus or minus one.
  12. I agree. Will be disappointed if we don't use David but a new untried Polish rider. The only issue I see is a top 3 of Nick Tobi and David with possibly Adam and Zach doesn't have much experience. We might need an older head. So could see David missing out for someone like Harris or Hans.other option is an experienced second string.
  13. Hope David is back at Swindon. He was superb for the vast majority of the season. He had that big crash and an engine go during the double header meeting. Not sure if it was equipment or he was carrying an injury after that. If you look at his low scores it was in a couple of dead matches and probably Wolves doesn't suit him as well as other tracks. Can't see how people can say he has a suspect temperament. His last to second move in heat 14 of the final was just as critical to winning as Jason and Nick's 1-5. I am suprised by the comments by Somerset fans as he was Swindon's best rider at the OTA for both meetings and scored 11 from 5 when guesting at 1 for Belle Vue. Must admit I would have thought Gary May would be the first on the phone if we don't use him.
  14. That explains why certain riders over the years have had difficult seasons away on loan at other clubs.
  15. Think we have to go with Morris build to 36 point limit. Charge a fiver for first 3 or 4 home matches and bring in Doyle when Nick has difficult start to the season and drops to below 8. Not sure if Anders Rowe can ride in Premiership but give him 3 or 4 matches experience before he makes way for Jason and everyone else moves down one place in the team.
  16. Exactly. The rules should reward riding well. Last year Joe Jacobs couldn't get a team because he scored more than most people expected the year before. Not many on the Swindon thread are mentioning David Bellego returning because he scored more than most people expected. Whereas riders who have had a bad season are suddenly seen as bargains. So unnamed rider averages 1.5 points a meeting lower than he can. Loses 42 points money. Can get a ride this season on a better rate as he is seen as a bargain and has several clubs chasing him. He gets that money back after 6 or 7 meetings. Better that than not getting a ride for months if at all.
  17. Nick Morris 8.87 Teri Arnio 4.06 Tobiasz Musielak 7.37 Dany Gappmaier 4.11 Michael Palm Toft 5.20 Zach Wajtknecht 3.21 Kyle Bickley 2.00 34.82
  18. Both ill according to Richard Crowley who was acting as interviewer. Said Tobi was in hospital.
  19. Nick wins Championship Riders Title.
  20. Well done Waihekeaces 1. Thanks R and R for running competition .
