  1. Went to quite a few meetings at OTA last year. The racing depends on both teams competing. Last year the matches against Glasgow were excellent also vs Sheffield. A couple against other teams were one sided. It helps that Josh, Wright, Starke and Allen are quick around there but do not often gate in front.
  2. Chapeau David Chapeau. Brilliant meeting. Last 3 heats were fantastic. I thought the two heats were Josh passed Nick were good but they paled into insignificance compared to the last three. Lost count of the passes in heat 13 and end with less than half a wheel between Josh and Jason. Heat 14 one moment David was in front the next third then back in front. Final heat looked a 1-5 only for Doyle to make a mistake and drop to third. David then blocks Josh to allow Jason back through. Have to say we were lucky as Josh was clear when his bike packed up and Starke was second when he stopped too. If the BSPA want to promote speedway they need to get those last three heats on you tube or Bt Sport as a taster prior to the live speedway on there. The races will sell the sport.
  3. Assuming no rain offs and I haven't made a mistake. Somerset 8th May Wolves 20th May BelleVue 24th may Rye House 24th may Kings Lynn 24th may Leicester 29th may Swindon 29th may Poole 7th June. Also some riders won't have ridden in all the meetings.
  4. Brady wasn't in heat 13 I think he was describing Morris who won heat 13. This was in response to hyderd post.
  5. Nick is absolutely flying at the moment. Heat 7 trying to team ride with Emil which went wrong on lap 2 and Harris shot between them both. However it made no difference as he caught Harris within a lap and passed him after a battle. Heat 13 he had to drop anchor at least twice because Doyle wasn't going quick enough.
  6. Bellego also scored 10+ 1 in Poland
  7. With regard to heat 3 Swindon advertiser man had Wilson Dean winning it. Although he has made mistakes before.
  8. Great win. Good to see BWD and Emil with Heat Wins.
  9. I was on the first bend. Group of four just in front of me. A couple just to my left and a further group of 4 or 5 closer to the start line. They were just the ones clearly robins fans.
  10. To be honest A Orlov we were flattered by the score. Leicester threw points away. Other than 1 heat Jason couldn't get out of the start. Four times he was last into first bend. BWD and Ellis had nights to forget. Bellego did ok but never looked like winning a heat. Grondal beat Ayres and non finishers from Leicester. Zach had 1 great heat win wonderfully protected by Nick. Morris was superb. His two races versus Nilsson were brilliant. He had plenty of chances to settle for second in heat 13 and was banging handlebars for a lap and a half before physically forcing his way round. FairPlay to Nilsson he got his own back in heat 15. So first one over and we got a away point so are top of the table if you take off points you lose at home and add points you win away! Work might keep me away on Thursday, in Swansea so will depend on M4.
  11. Chap in the crowd didn't get much back off the fans. Most couldn't name a team to win when asked. Robbie the Raker got the biggest cheer all night in the back straight.
  12. We did and it wasn't great. I thought we should have put Jason in gate 4 in the semi when you had choice of who went where. Second and third would have been enough. Although it would have been a travesty if KL hadn't won they were by far the best pair on the night. To be fair it wouldn't have made a difference, Wolves put Lindgren in gate 4 in the final and it just meant KL came out of the first couple of bends first and second and disappeared into the distance.
  13. Planning on coming up from Gloucester so would appreciate a local weather report mid afternoon Saturday.
  14. Adam Ellis scored 6 today in Poland with two heat wins.
  15. Corals have KL 9/4 Poole 11/4 Wolves 4/1 BV 9/2 Rye House 7/1 Swindon 16/1 Leicester and Somerset 40/1
  16. Open to National League teams. Although only 6 in it. Eastbourne Kent Mildenhall in one group. Race each other home and away with winners of group go into two legged final. Other group Plymouth Isle of Wight and Swindon. Swindon will make a team out of riders who do not ride for any of the other 5 teams in the competition. They can use riders who ride for Cradley Stoke Birmingham etc.
  17. I agree but it looks like, rather than being rubbished, they are being taken up. I rember those two there could well be others that have been rubbished. There is obviously something gone on which I and most of us don't know about.
