I was on the first bend. Group of four just in front of me. A couple just to my left and a further group of 4 or 5 closer to the start line. They were just the ones clearly robins fans.

To be honest A Orlov we were flattered by the score. Leicester threw points away. Other than 1 heat Jason couldn't get out of the start. Four times he was last into first bend. BWD and Ellis had nights to forget. Bellego did ok but never looked like winning a heat. Grondal beat Ayres and non finishers from Leicester. Zach had 1 great heat win wonderfully protected by Nick. Morris was superb. His two races versus Nilsson were brilliant. He had plenty of chances to settle for second in heat 13 and was banging handlebars for a lap and a half before physically forcing his way round. FairPlay to Nilsson he got his own back in heat 15. So first one over and we got a away point so are top of the table if you take off points you lose at home and add points you win away! Work might keep me away on Thursday, in Swansea so will depend on M4.

Chap in the crowd didn't get much back off the fans. Most couldn't name a team to win when asked. Robbie the Raker got the biggest cheer all night in the back straight.

We did and it wasn't great. I thought we should have put Jason in gate 4 in the semi when you had choice of who went where. Second and third would have been enough. Although it would have been a travesty if KL hadn't won they were by far the best pair on the night. To be fair it wouldn't have made a difference, Wolves put Lindgren in gate 4 in the final and it just meant KL came out of the first couple of bends first and second and disappeared into the distance.

Planning on coming up from Gloucester so would appreciate a local weather report mid afternoon Saturday.

Corals have KL 9/4 Poole 11/4 Wolves 4/1 BV 9/2 Rye House 7/1 Swindon 16/1 Leicester and Somerset 40/1 -
Open to National League teams. Although only 6 in it. Eastbourne Kent Mildenhall in one group. Race each other home and away with winners of group go into two legged final. Other group Plymouth Isle of Wight and Swindon. Swindon will make a team out of riders who do not ride for any of the other 5 teams in the competition. They can use riders who ride for Cradley Stoke Birmingham etc.

I agree but it looks like, rather than being rubbished, they are being taken up. I rember those two there could well be others that have been rubbished. There is obviously something gone on which I and most of us don't know about.

Haven't Team GB just had a fitness camp?

Think Jake Allen could be the best signing for any team. Personally think he could end up in heat leader role by end of season. I thought I heard he might be riding in Poland this season and only issue will be if that distracts him. Really impressed me last season.

Looking at the fixtures we are missing 2 home league fixtures against Kings Lynn and Coventry and an Away fixture at Leicester. Also the National Trophy Group Matches took place early in the season last year. We would have 2 home matches to fit in. These plus the missing home league matches may well be in the April to May period.

Starke's win in heat 15 vs Glasgow back in May highlight for me.

Doyle tweeted "doctors gave me all clear. Bone has healed. All looking good for 2017" on the 19th December.

Sedgmen excluded in final after coming together with Watt. Sedgmen had gone through heats unbeaten. From Sedgmen's website.
-
Sedgmen beat Jack Holder and Davey Watt in final of meeting at Kurri Kurri on Boxing Day. Completing six race maximum.

For those liking Dudek Corals have him at 20/1 whereas Pawlicki is 14/1 with them. The rest are similar though Freddie 33/1. -
Gambo thanks for reply. So worst 2 riders over first 8 matches(4h and 4a) will go to reserve places until next green sheet comes out. In theory Doyle could be reserve by ninth match. Or a current low average rider has good start to season and gets replaced by some one currently higher on the average list. Stevebrum, mb1990 used the phrase discontinued. Which was why I asked the question.
-
On the Wolves thread it has a report that CVS says rolling averages will be discontinued. What does that mean?
-
Assuming Zach has a reduction. Huckenbeck BWD or Lunna. Hopefully we will announce our last rider this time next week after Somerset don't announce BWD.
-
We have over 5 points left so surely Grondal is at reserve unless we are leaving nearly a point behind.
-
Grondal averages over 9 at Rye House scoring 15+1 and 12+ 2 on his two visits there. We will be there 3 times at least this year. Also had heat wins at Berwick Somerset Scunthorpe Workington Sheffield ( another track he seems to like). Probably not going to like Monmore.

On Bspa website it has team building averages which shows Zach 2.63 with half a dozen others between 2 and 3 Bailey is 2.05 for example. Rose Gappmaier Smith/ Bacon fits. So does T Kurtz Ayres and Zach
