Posf2 - Swindon Robins Vs Belle Vue Aces 21 September 2015

Batchelor was awful tonight. But can someone explain why Rosco does an article in the advertiser basically saying Troy you are not in next years team before the season is finished? Madness. Really think Troy was giving him the two finger gesture tonight. Well done Aces. -

There were at least 14 Swindon fans on the 3rd /4th bend with scarves and flags. We had a good old time. We even started celebrating 5-1 to BV because it looked at times we wouldn't get a finisher in some heats. Shame the chap with the loud hailer from the Coventry away match didn't manage to make the trip though. -

What is weather like? Will be leaving shortly as BBC forecast shows no rain until 10 or 11pm. Although that has changed twice today. -

Coventry V Swindon - Wednesday 2nd September

Meeting better than I thought it would be when I arrived in the rain. Well done to both teams. Had a fine time on bend 3/4. Thought Swindon might just win it until the tractor came out after heat 11 and messed up gate 3 and helped Gate 4. Clever of Coventry to realise who was getting what gates at the end. Suddenly gate 4 gets 8 points out of the last four heats when it had only scored 4 in the first 11. Congratulations to both teams making the play offs. -
Yes going tonight. Hope the riders come round after heat so we can show our support regardless of who wins the heat. All need to be together.

Really enjoyed the racing tonight. King's win over Worral and Wright was superb. Heeps and Wright's wins were also very good. Man of the match was Tungate who only dropped points when in gate 1 which was terrible tonight. His ride in heat 15 was as good as you will see anywhere. Kept blocking Kurtz out bends 2 and 4 each lap to keep King in second. Not sure why King changed line on the last lap to allow Brady a chance of a blast round the outside.

24th is another option as Monday is the normal alternative to Thursday.

Very good meeting with some excellent heats. Harris was excellent, Troy rode very well but Darcy was on another level.

Does anyone know if the Fjelsted v Holstebro meeting originally scheduled for the 5th August is still set to happen?. Also what time does the meeting start? On holiday in Denmark next week and hoping to go. Finally, any places of interest near the track for the non speedway fan members of the family would enjoy while the meeting is on?

Just got back. Zengi superb. Darcy, Troy and Charles all rode very well. Wolves never recovered from Heat 12. Have to say I was expecting all 4 back. Bates stopped in the back straight and our 2 nearly stopped coming out of bend 4.
-
There were about 25 Swindon supporters near me on the 1st bend. Plus several more on bend 4. Never went down back straight to know if there were any there.

Went last night and Krcmar rode better than his score. The problem was his gating. Ward was very sharp out of the gate in the first heat must have been 3 bike lengths in front by 1st bend. Heat 13 cost us as on an easy 1-5 which ended up 5-0. Zengi was superb as was Wozniak. Fairly sure Doyle will be off Cook's Christmas card list. Some hard riding. Didn't like Doyle punching the air when he knew Cook had gone down even if it meant Leicester had won.
