  1. Not sure Cookie needs/wants the captaincy, we need him concentrating on scoring points. This was always going to be an issue with Deek away, it looks a decent team apart from no obvious captain.
  2. I think he could be a good signing, not sure he'll quite do a Worrall, but definitely room for upping his average! The disappointing thing is that it means Foxy won't be returning.
  3. And Sam may be away? Possibly our fellow finalists? I like the look of the team though.
  4. Not sure but a few times at Armadale recently, I must say I was shocked. Usually he's a very decent rider.
  5. I can't disagree more with you on Sam. At the start of the season he couldn't find his way round Armadale, but his away scores meant he was still valuable. Now he is most definitely a home track specialist and his strength in heat 13/15's has pulled us through at the back end of the season. I have no doubt in my mind that if Cookie were not to return, Sam would be a strong number one for us. As for Aaron, I'm pretty sure he thinks he'll be back. I hope he will be, not sure of the figures, but I think his home average is around 7? This year will have been a big learning experience for him, if he applies himself he should up his away form next season. I wasn't there, but he did get a lot of praise from his riding at Somerset in the final.
  6. Don't want to be left behind the rest. We can enjoy the season as well as look forward to next!? Heard a wee bit of chat suggesting Cookie doesn't fancy Poland. I think he'll be at Leicester next year and hopefully our number one. If he isn't I think Sam will step up to number one. I have a sneaky feeling max won't be back, which would be a shame in my opinion. I can't see Aaron not returning, it would be a mistake for either party.
  7. I think Summers in for Allen is a big swing in Rebels favour. I did say before last night's meeting that 12 points was the maximum deficit that I'd like to see. But It's looking a mighty tough challenge. The gap at reserve will be closed a big amount by being at the dale, but we could do with big big performances from both.
  8. Agreed Nuts, anything under 10 is manageable. I'd love a win after being robbed in the league though!
  9. I said it was similar to Armadale in providing a mental block to visiting riders.
  10. For me it's similar to Armadale in the sense that a lot of teams are beat before tapes up in heat one. A big mental block which creates a gulf between the riders at times. It is a never switch off track which can lead to riders roaring round the outside for last bend passes. But personally it doesn't require as much skill, if your machinery is firing, you are in with a very good shout. Best example this season is Olly Allen, rinsed us at OTA and days later was so overpowered he was lucky to not fire himself through the fence at the dale. Looked a very below average rider.
  11. Genuinely don't think Kevin will be back at Armadale next year, wouldn't fit in with many of the projected plans (imo) I had heard a rumour that he will be involved in a team with a Thursday race night? How true it is, I'm not sure. No plans to have Victor back? On the few occasions I have seen him, he actually looked to have some potential. Could be a decent pick depending on his real average.
  12. I'd be more worried about your current riders commitment after last night's showing than the commitment of a guest.
  13. Feel sorry for Glasgow, I would say the promotion are to blame as they must have an idea of the riders commitments? But the above is utterly bizzare to me! How can a world under-21 event not be recognised?!
  14. Depends, you're part of a double header. Think I'd like to get Newcastle out of the way first as the potentially tougher meeting than Redcar.
  15. Tigs seem to do well when a smuggie rides for them! Can Glasgow make the playoffs?! Would be good if they did.
  16. Seems that you have missed mine. Standard forum twit-for-tat is extremely tedious, but if you'd rather bring up irrelevant past situations than discuss the matter at hand, fill your boots!
  17. Jason Garrity provides an excellent example for young speedway fans to follow. What's your point caller?
  18. Maybe he is, but when he causes himself and/or other riders in hospital, it becomes an issue.
  19. In the situation where him sitting in second place would have won his team the meeting, he chose to attempt a pass that he was never going to complete! He carried far to much speed into the corner. No need whatsoever. But never mind, we won anyway.
  20. I thought it was a bit cheeky of the bandits to challenge it since it was their rider's over zealous riding that caused the injury! Glad Kus and Jensen got up from their crash, looked a nasty one.
  21. As we did on Wednesday, rebels struggled with track conditions. Olly Allen especially! His extremely fast sooped up machinery made him next to hopeless here tonight. Can't just leave it wound on all the way round at the dale, a little technical ability required! Great to see Deek scoring well, still showed a little of the weakness that cosy him on Wednesday but big improvement!
