Edinburgh Vs Scunthorpe (pl) 2/5/14
Chris Hutcheson replied to Fozzie4388's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Aaron was looking a lot better last night, I think he's shown a steady improvement so far this season. He sounded a lot more upbeat in his wee chat with Scott during the meeting last night as well. Keep it up I say -
Edinburgh V Sheffield (pl) 25/4/14 @ 7.30pm

You're right, forecast on BBC was heavy showers from 6pm. But the official site thought it would be ok on the post from this afternoon. I'm not convinced, can only hope. -

Wow woo wee wah! -
Was he not sacked? Is he helping out in Poland? I mean how could he do this and ride all three leagues?

He's been a revelation! We got really lucky seeing him at the back end of last season guesting up at the Dale. I had heard that he'd bought some machinery from Richie, but I wanted to check that Richie wasn't hiding under stevie's helmet.

I thought Campton nicked it to be honest. But for the over zealous announcer and track grading after nearly every monarchs heat victory I'll give it to Max! Also Max rode very well to get himself well in front. Also loved the Worky fan next to me giving it big licks during heat 15. I was devastated with the 7 point away win -

He had been clattered by Masters in the original heat 15, took a while to be cleared to race by paramedics. Then he got out gated and settled for third as we had the 7 point lead. I would also expect Justin to step up from reserve, so it could be a Deek/Fox pairing, which looks nowhere near as good as Justin/Stevie. It's a bit of a worry, I would think a decision would have to be made on Fox within the next month. I really hope he turns it round, has shown some promise but hasn't really had a good four laps at home. -

Everything screams a home win to me, but I said that last week about Berwick. I know Worky are a different prospect, but if our reserves score well again tonight it could be a close one. Also the bigger track may suit Sam and Aaron, also wouldn't be surprised with a Cookie maximum. -
Which Riders Will Miss Out?
Chris Hutcheson replied to skoobie's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I thought Bager had a few good rides as well. Maybe not enough to consider him a positive to the league though. -
I'm excited for the team this year, I think any team with Cookie in it has a chance. Lots of people are unhappy with Theo going, I like him a lot but don't think he will improve, while some others will. The one interesting thing for me will be to see how Steve fits in riding in three leagues, especially with the Thursday/Friday meetings.

Guarentees one passing move per season as well!
-
I guess Joe Tabaka and Nick Morris won't ever be team mates for a similar reason then!?
-
I had heard that Gino Manzarez is a possible target, depending on his average, could be a very good choice. He looked decent in parts at the World Cup, considering who he was up against!

The sour faced Tigers that I encountered at the Play-off final would strongly disagree, apparently Claus is to big and awkward to be a speedway rider. They also whined about the lack of atmosphere, I'm not sure what they have to compare it to!

I think if we get Max signed up shortly the team will be shaping up very nicely. I'm not sure about reserve, I like the idea of developing Liam, but I felt last season having a weaker reserve pairing cost us in a few meetings. In fairness to him, he had a few really good rides closer to the end of the season, so I wouldn't be overly disappointed to see him back.

Can't believe what I am reading! People moaning about being asked(not forced) to chip in for rider safety! With the crashes we have seen at Armadale this year, an air fence will be a welcome addition. Also don't see the issue with clubs holding events to raise money, surely then you are getting something for your money, instead of just donating. You may be after an extra meeting or two to raise funds, but as already pointed out, I doubt they would raise enough funds from that alone. This way you are getting something else for your "donation" ala the Audience with Cookie from Friday night, which I thorughly enjoyed by the way!
