  1. Not judging it on Cardiff, just what I expierienced and the locals i spoke with, i certainly had no qualms about the track or the stadium size. You maybe correct regarding fans losing interest after heat 8 as I never used the facilities until after then, but when i did go for a beer/toilet the same people were stood down there every time The only reason I suggested Copenhagen was it seems most Danes can get there relatively easy, all roads and public transport lead there, and there would be no shortage of hotels, plus most flights go there from other country's. I had no choice but to fly back yesterday as if I'd booked a Sunday flight it was terribly risky if the weather was bad, which it was all Saturday until around 2pm. I know they didn't use to fill the 25000 stadium but still attracted more than was at Horsens and like I said if you stripped away the corporate and hangers on I suggest that was 40% of the crowd To be honest I don't know what the solution is but possibly the Danes have lost their passion for speedway, they have a few small tracks which don't attract huge numbers so maybe the corporates are required to boost the figures, you may get a few additional Swedes if it was in Copenhagen
  2. To be fair it was one empty section in the main stand on turn 2 and a bit at the back of the open end, maybe tv picked up bits I couldn't see One thing I found out via locals is that a lot were given free tickets via their place of work etc and a lot didn't go, was talking to 2 guys in a bar, both had tickets and both had no interest in speedway so didn't go, even offered me their tickets, which I didn't take the option on because I had mine, they said a lot of people had tickets but weren't going Loads of people sat near me were more interested in their VIP free beers and when I popped to the loo, at least 50-100 people were just stood drinking in the VIP bar, they wernt watching the speedway at all and seemed to stay there all night I had a guy sat next to me who seemed to enjoy the meeting with his son who wasn't so interested but they left after heat 20, I honestly believe they thought it was over I played a bit extra to go for a pre meeting meal with free beers and there was probably 1000 people there (was in the Casa arena forum which adjoins the stadium) and i would say most of these people were local businessmen who had invited work colleagues and customers and very few had any knowledge of speedway, possibly never even been before I enjoyed the whole weekend, there were some real speedway fans there, but I had the overview that at least 40% of the spectators were on a jolly up and were more interested in drinking beer than watching speedway I also don't think it helps that Horsens is not a speedway city, they have no team or track, and the city isn't massive so hotels aren't that plentiful, maybe better if they move it for next year but I don't know where would be best Maybe Copenhagen, but I spoke to people there and most were unaware there was a GP going on The draw was done in Horsens city centre on Friday lunchtime and NKI and Kildermand were signing autographs and i would estimate 50 people tops were there, most seemed to be locals who just happened to be walking past at the time
  3. Rained most of the morning but the skies are blue at the moment so things looking up
  4. Been a lot of rain overnight with it looking pretty miserable outside Hopefully the Sun will put in an appearance
  5. I met with the Danish under 15 champion today He has identical Kevlar and bike colours as his hero Nikki Pedersen What a lovely young man he was, spent ages talking to fans, I forget his name bet his attitude alone deserves success Good luck to him, he has a champion attitude Also watched Kenny Nissen this week and he was awesome. Not sure of his age but what a rider
  6. Will put this up... for what it's worth The only rider that didn't take part in today's practice was Emil saifutdinov Doyle took to the track at least 2 or 3 times, but There was some confusion as lots of people left thinking practice was over but it was just track grading Holder, Hancock, kildermand, NKI, zmarslik and specially Antonio Lindback looked really quick Zagar,Pawlicki, and lindgren looked awful, Tai not much better The rest of the field somewhere in between Nki is also a miserable git, gave him the benefit of the doubt when he ignored me at lakeside a couple seasons back but when your on an autograph signing session you think the twit could at least raise a smile Hope he loses, as compared to kildermand who was sat next to him was full of the joys of spring, good luck to him
  7. Been really hot today in Horsens but does keep clouding over, says a few showers tomorrow but hopefully nothing to worry about Slangerup was great last night

  9. been watching speedway for 35 years and I have never seen one of these trucks, or anything like the lad in the back shovelling for his life, would never pass uk health and safety laws lindback just got a little swear in without any apologies from the presenters she's got no chance of EastEnders whilst this is happening
  10. officially off as i've got cycling now?, or are we aiting for it to blow over? my missus aint too impressed i'm watching cycling in polish and she wants EastEnders on, will give in and let her if its off

  14. nice one, you really are the font of all knowledge when it comes to these things any idea regarding the under 21s
  15. Do you know what time practice is? Also trying to find out if there is a Danish under 21 round on the Sunday, pretty sure there isn't but been told there might be and i can't find confirmation of this anywhere, it doesn't even look like they have had a Danish undr 21 competition for last 2 years
  16. Watched the YouTube video of cuppitt, what a wally I see from the comments his family are also threatening the poster to remove it Seems class must run in that family, he's lucky the back straight is usually empty
  17. How's the forecast in Sweden? As much rain as the UK?
  18. Cheers mate, is it R/R for Lindgren?, just trying to put my bets on
  19. anyone know if Lindgren and Kildermand are fit to ride? thought both were carrying injuries but not sure
  20. Something's not right with him, feel sorry for him despite not being a fan of any of his clubs. There is no way he is doing it purposely, he may get a good deal in Britain on his new average but the Poles are a bit more ruthless and he is risking losing his team place, He's already riding at reserve in Sweden tonight and there's no way he'll get top 8 in the GP,s on his current form I hope for his sake he gets a a load of points at reserve tonight and it gives him a boost, he looked great at the pairs
