  1. Now who's being OTT? thousands of Lynn fans? Not going to disagree that they are pillocks and sadly every clubs has them just some seem to think its ok to subject people to personal abuse over a sport team, there are clearly some disturbing voids in peoples lives.
  2. Thats disgusting. Everyone is guilty of questioning a riders suitability for a team position or the effort displayed during meetings and upon a discussions forum providing it doesn't get stupid or personal there is nothing wrong with that but to launch abuse against someone's personal or racing account is poor form especially a rider who has been such a dedicated servant to Kings Lynn over the years. I hope he wants away next season and his replacement is far worse.
  3. Assuming the broken wrist was an incorrect diagnosis?
  4. and if he rides it like he rides Mildenhall he won't. Personally i feel its hard to look past Brennan but if Flint is fit and Kemp is up for it then they could put up a good fight. Plenty of spoilers in the field too so any slip ups and title has gone.
  5. Wright, Sarj, Palin & Kemp have all ridden central Park before (even if it was a while ago for Wright) whilst Allen and MPT are no slouches and should adapt easily. Sadly i can see a home tactical ride already and if Nicholls has anything other than a brilliant night again the Bears hit 50. Maybe the racing will at least provide a decent spectacle and its not all from the gate.
  6. At least it would mean there is an opposition rider he could beat......
  7. In all fairness the Lynn & Pboro teams were built in a similar way in that they were both full of gambles its just that one has paid off heavily and one has hugely backfired. Obviously by the experience of the old hands and putting them out on one of the best race tracks in the country is proving more successful. Yes there are clearly bloopers in the Lynn side like including Bridger, leaving Lawson out etc but the issues are deeper than that. Riders don't favour the Kings Lynn track, the revolving door team changes doesn't inspire stability and simply put it feels like Pboro are on a better financial standing, whilst Buster might be behind both teams the sponsorships and money through the gate defines team building budgets and just maybe there was more available kitty elsewhere.
  8. I think the disjointed season and fixture list of the NDL has given weekend tracks the extra lure so Hagon choosing Mildenhall and Ablitt Eastbourne are wise choices for themselves (given they could have picked any track of their choosing). Kent is not the easiest circuit to ride and Ablitt didn't enjoy his season with the Kent side all that much either. I like the sound of a stronger NDL/lower CL but its going to be a harder sell at Kent as right now Nicholls apart it already resembles the lower level CL and doesn't sound all that entertaining.
  9. Im not really sure why it would even need to be retractable? A large glass dome would do the trick or the poly spheres like the eden project. All tracks would be warm and humid keeping moisture in the racing surface, no chilly October nights and no rain offs.....its the future.
  10. First time in ages that positive Speedway has made the BBC sport motorsports page with an advert to listen to commentary of a match that was postponed a few days ago. Even when it tries the sport shoots itself in the foot.
  11. After seeing the Goodyear Blimp last week its sparked an idea. Why don't Kent use a small airship to raise/lower the track covers as and when needed. Could be tethered to the centre green and even have some advertising upon it to cover the costs.....
  12. They have decided to run on Tuesdays which everyone knows is the rainiest day of the week, you would have thought by now they would have brought some track covers
  13. Urgh what a flop up so.....Tuesday July 20th. the rearrangement of Kent TouchTec Kings vs. Eastbourne Eagles (Championship KOC First Round, second leg) Tuesday September 21s, . Kent TouchTec Kings vs. Birmingham Brummies (Championship) [moving from July 20th.] This means that the fixture previously scheduled for Sept. 21st., Kent Iwade Garage Royals vs. Berwick Bullets will be moved to a later date in October – Provisional 19th Oct. Surely given the fixture congestion and requirement to actually get other rounds of the KOC completed (a competition that could have been dropped from the start) the tie could have just been handed to Eastbourne and costs saved?. As it stands there is now a dead rubber match to come in the middle of summer, a league match pushed back to unpredictable September and another Royals fixture shunted into the cold nights of October. It has to be said that the decision making at Kent is questionable at times....
  14. Talented riders will get track time and chances no matter who 'owns' their contract. I didn't see any real sense in Hagon signing on for Lynn anyway other than a few quid in his pocket. He could have remained a free agent until he decides to go for a CL place.
  15. We are heading in different directions translated as Schroek: this team is tripe and needs changes. Buster: im not wasting any money on other riders so must be the managers fault.
  16. If Allitt has any say it will be Scott Campos although i suspect he is clever enough to turn it down. Makes no matter who it is if Wells and Heeps keep being embarrassing to themselves and the club. Its fortunate for all involved that Lawson & TJ are having a good season otherwise there would be no resistance at all.
  17. Sure they will be queuing up for that one. Was a poor appointment anyway and apportioning any blame to Mountain for the defeat was probably the final straw. Wells and Heeps cost the home win simple as that, not anymore coming either until those two pull their finger out.
  18. It would make very interesting reading to know exactly how much money Lynn wasted on him? The obviously like racesuit the lesser so like signing on fees, sponsorships and funds towards equipment? The bikes were all up for sale and money likely going into his pocket so unsurprisingly the only one to not lose out is Lewis. If only Connor Mountain had the luxury of that deal pre season how much more could he be doing now.
  19. I would think its more Danish than Tom. For a start he is still in the Kent 1-7 and you can't be in two teams at once.
  20. Already difficult to get fans through the gate with the tie largely over and iffy forecast. Only saving grace is that its against the local rivals but RR thrown in to drag the meeting out further i fear is going to be a big no for many. Hope the crowd is enough to cover costs and some of the home riders put up a decent fight.
  21. Not going to either. Ipswich at Lynn for the 2nd time tonight so that fixture gone. Some riders contacted about potential interest but thats as far as it goes. Could have used the excuse of not enough pit space for social distancing etc but instead chose to ignore it. Was only brought in to appease those upset at the damage done to the MSDL due to banning ghost teams. was never going to happen and won't be mentioned again
  22. any word on the Prem Junior League line up to follow the meeting? Assuming there must be one as this is the 2nd league meeting between these two sides and the BSPL promised it would happen......
  23. So with the next round of fixtures starting im assuming the PJL won't be going ahead this year? Obviously no word from the BSPL regarding it?
