Discussed this on Friday and I think one thing that would make this tricky is the Friday night thing. We’d have to find another afternoon/evening which might prevent a move back to Fridays when a permanent home is hopefully found.

Until there is an official statement I’m still holding on to the smallest bit of hope.

It’s very easy for me to say standing watching it and not on the bike but a lot of our boys don’t seem to be aggressive enough. Pickering (to en extreme) is obviously and Sam knows what he’s doing but the others are too timid a lot of the time. Leave too much space, don’t go on hard on opposition going into bends etc.

I would say we have a fair chance in this tie but should we make the final vs Poole then we would lose convincingly. Vs Glasgow it would be tighter but I think we’d still fall short.

Remind me of the score at home this season though? They papped us.

Fair to middling chance that this is the final competitive meeting at Armadale. Obviously I hope that’s not the case but Edinburgh will be 50 points on Friday minimum. Both teams at full strength?

I would be amazed if Edinburgh get past Leicester. I wouldn’t be surprised if we lost the Armadale leg tbh. They were miles better than us there earlier in the season.

So the whole thing should have been done behind closed doors meaning Edinburgh wouldn’t have the opportunity to demonstrate the support from fans and the community? You think someone who was looking to build industrial units in the area was only alerted to the availability of the land because of the Edinburgh bid? Nonsense.

Really disappointing. As has been said next season has to be extremely unlikely. Hopefully there are other options to explore.

Absolutely agree. Sam shouldn’t have been out but I get the feeling he will always be given the option. Having to hug the inside line can’t have been very comfortable for his injuries either.

I’m worried Sam has come back too quickly. Hoping he gets through the meeting unscathed.
