  1. Of course it’s tongue in cheek. Ffs, people are so bloody precious (not specifically directed at you Gaz). The Edinburgh promotion set up a track to win a speedway meeting (their job btw) and slightly over-cooked it. I’m sure they’ve learnt from it. Talk of “this is what is ruining speedway” and “opposition riders might think twice about visiting in the play-offs” is hyperbolic pish.
  2. Injuries to riders is just a small price to pay for Championship domination.
  3. Another of the pretenders to the title dealt with. The march to the title continues.
  4. Not sure. I assumed it was the match referee but no idea tbh. You’d think it would be.
  5. Agree with the slow red light when Gregor Millar went down. The helmet getting caught wasn’t ideal but I kind of agree with letting it go if it gets the race underway and no-one is obviously injured. We’d already had quite a few restarts. I thought Archie Freeman and Luke Harrison were mightily impressive. Also given, he is EIGHT YEARS OLD, Caydin Martin was tremendous. Really enjoyed seeing all the riders give it their all.
  6. Yeah, Powderhall is the wrong end of town. Once my Euromillions win comes in, the blue and gold will have a shiny new home in the West of the city.
  7. Yeah that’s a fair assessment. All home sides should set up a track to suit home riders - it’s maybe just that Armadale is a tad easier to do than others. Good riders like Nicholls, Barker, Worrall (as a Tiger) etc have proven this year that it’s not impossible to score well as an away rider.
  8. Ooh the hurt is good in this one. Can someone knock up a trick track trophy please and we’ll display it next to the League trophy and the Knockout Cup.
  9. We’ll have it tricked to such an extent the opposition won’t be able to get a bike round it. 75-0. Marvellous.
  10. Can’t wait to get pumped 58-32 in the first leg of the play off final but still have the tie in the bag due to the trick track. *insert very smug face*.
  11. You’re there for the higher class of company not the view of the track.
  12. I'm pretty sure there was a replay of the ht9 incident but can't be totally sure. No argument that Vissing was pushed wide - Worrall had a chat with Pickering at the gate and you got the feeling that was going to be his plan. I don't think he took him down though. I don't think replays would be shown before the ref makes his decision. The call for all three back in ht15 was made pretty quickly.
  13. James Sargeant would drive me insane as a Glasgow rider. Surely too much of a liability to consider for next season? Starke improved as the meeting went on although quite lucky not to be excluded in ht15 i'd say. There's no doubt Edinburgh are stronger now with Worrall. Palovaara while not flashy will score a steady amount of points and there is very little pressure on Lawson too if Joel keeps up his good form. A lot to be positive about heading to the business end of the season.
  14. Very poor from Glasgow tonight and in particular Harris and Vissing. Best i've seen Barker at Armadale too - was very quick. Solid Monarchs performance but they weren't tested much. Sunday should be interesting. I thought the NJLRC second half was brilliant. Some great styles on show from in particular Archie Freeman and Luke Harrison. Once Ace Pijper go going i though he looked smooth too. Shout out to Caydin Martin who has some amount of bottle at the age of eight to fire round a speedway track!
  15. Quite a specific example. What’s your opinion broadly?
  16. Not this again. Is the suggestion that teams should have Brits in their team despite their being better options from overseas?
