  1. Most of the Glasgow "splashing the cash" stuff is tongue in cheek. I don't think anyone seriously thinks the investment into Glasgow speedway is anything other than something to be applauded. Good luck to Craig, i will still be a fan (if slightly subdued at times for the remainder of the season ). I'm a bit gutted that he'll be on GP duty the next time Glasgow come to Armadale though.
  2. What nonsense. If British riders were good enough they’d get in. Clubs aren’t going to put a Brit at reserve for the good of British Speedway. As has been pointed out many clubs have teams in the NJL.
  3. Btw, anyone know whether Lawson is considering a full time return? I know he didn’t score well in the platinum fours but always feel he’s on the brink of a return!
  4. All seems fair to me. If the Riss boys put in the extra laps after a meeting what makes Josh think he doesn’t need to?
  5. Well then I might just get all in a flap about you suggesting I would drive on a hangover. How very dare you.
  6. You’re an idiot then and I hope you get pulled over sooner rather than later.
  7. Is this rumour about Worrall or does someone actually know he refused to race in ht15?
  8. It’s just a bit of fun. I think what the Glasgow promotion have done is fantastic and absolutely it should be welcomed. They do need to rethink how they build a team though.
  9. I’m afraid it comes with the territory. Glasgow have spent big for a number of seasons now and massively underachieved. Worrall and at a push Sergeant aside none of the Tigers have any sort of affinity with the club and that really matters IMO.
  10. Glasgow throroughly deserved their win. While i suspect it wouldn’t have changed the overall result, heat 9 going from what looked like a 3-3 to a 0-5 gave the tigers a real boost and set the tone for the remainder of the meeting Was impressed with Max but Joel and Matt looked quite a bit off the pace and Ricky didn’t seem himself. Improvement required. The track seemed a bit tricky especially at the first and second bend (even more so than normal!)
  11. Hmm. I hope you’re right but the early signs are far from promising.
  12. Name your charity mate, the boy is hopeless. He’ll be binned by end of May.
  13. If I did I certainly wouldn’t eat at Speedway tracks! If there wasn’t any food on offer I wouldn’t give it a second’s thought to be honest. I’m there to watch racing not have my dinner.
  14. I've never known someone to be so concerned about food at a speedway meeting.
  15. We get it, you think the Edinburgh promotion are shysters and maybe you’re right. They’re bloody good at plucking riders from obscurity and winning stuff though so I’ll let them off. Xx
  16. Hi Gaz, lovely to chat again. Had the rain stopped as forecast I have no doubt the track would have been prepared and raceable. As for your last point, I think you’re spot on; that’s definitely what they were up to. I mean let’s put aside the fact that the meeting was called off before the gates opened. The meeting was called off well before most people needed to leave to get there. Chris Harris should maybe move to Coatbridge or some other Weej outpost. Love, your favourite Monarch, Jan. xxx
