  1. Rules say "c) The 6th and 7th riders (by MA) must ride at #6 or #7. NB, only an EDR may ride at #7" - Kyle is an EDR so he can ride at 7. What that rule means is that if a 1-5 rider drops to reserve they have to ride at 6 - no idea why as 6 and 7 is the same with this forum
  2. So what proof do you think will be accepted? dragging a teacher along with his/her wage slip to prove they're a teacher and to vouch for you? If you have an NUS card you are a student. If you don't want to accept NUS cards you shouldn't have a student price.
  3. TBF 100% of Rorys meetings have come from riding as a heat leader. He is very much a heat leader.
  4. Maybe so but surely you can see how Danny King on 6.48 being a heat leader but Buzz on the same 6.48 average being a second string is not fair, whoever gains from it. Even more so when you consider about half of Dannys meetings were ridden as second string so giving him an inflated average!
  5. I'd say that Swindon are a more comfortable 3rd/Coventry not to close to 3rd as that. Maybe makes the Bees 10/1 and I'd agree with that. Will be interesting to see how the removal of the heat leader list has an effect in May!
  6. You would expect anyone with an NUS card to be a student - I'd like to see them argue it doesn't count. How much more proof do you need of being a student that membership to the union or students?!
  7. Matt Ford can see his bricks on the back wall of the main bar
  8. I think this is a case of what the rules says and what the rule is meant to say. I think it was meant to say that the rider who starts as 2nd reserve cannot go into the 1-5 but what that says is that if one of your reserve has a higher average than a 1-5 rider he goes into the 1-5 but if both of them do them only the higher of the two moves into the 1-5. So potentially your two EDR riders could be numbers 1 and 2 in your averages but only the one will ride in the 1-5 but next month they could swap and be 2 and 1 in your averages so they'll swap position. Obviously thats an extreme case and won't happen but in theory... And it certainly could happen that they're 4th and 5th in your averages.
  9. Starman is back, missing the point, again!
  10. I damn well hope so. The sport is on it's arse at domestic level so the one thing really still attracting me is the GPs. We've had a few good seasons now (generally - if you gloss over the Poland farce last year) but if Emil was in it then IMO it would only be better for it. The only reason I watch the SEC is for Emil and I fear that someone knows that and it's why they're forcing him (through money of threats) to be there. Remove Emil and what does the SEC have? Just Nicki P and I get the impression that Nicki wants to win everything, even a friendly game of monopoly or snap with his kids - but certainly not at the expense of being World Champion!
  11. Ive never suggest Hans' scoring in the play-offs last year were an issue. The problem by then was we had King as a heat leader when if Hans had done his job all year we'd have had King at second string and we would have raced Poole in the semi. And it's a bit harsh to criticise Harris for one meeting when Hans was rubbish in at least a dozen. Harris hasn't slagged off all his team mates who carried him half the season either!
  12. If Hans had performed better in a handful of meeting and scored us 4 or 5 more league points we'd have been top and we'd have picked (probably) BV where we had won twice or Swindon leaving BV to sort you out (which was so close it may or may not have worked). But no, his being rubbish at home vs you lot mean not only did you win but you got a bonus point. He score 2 beating his Cam Heeps and Dak North in the EL A at home vs your lot when we lost 48-41. Had he score 9 like a normal 8.5 rider should at home that would have seen us win 50-40ish so 4 less for you and 3 more for us - that was enough to put us top! Hell if he'd scored 6 we'd have won 46-44 meaning 2 more for us and 3 less for you and we'd have finished top! That from one single meeting. Or his 4 at Lynn when we lost 49-41, had he turned up that was 3 more league points... There were many occasions where his poor scoring cost us points. I accepted it last year but when he comes out with crap like "being in a winning team rubs off on you" - sod off, we were top of the league most of the season with him struggling, we WERE the winning team but it didnt rub off on him. As for the play-offs then, as I mention we'd have not picked Poole so anything could have happened but also had he not been rubbish all year he'd have been at heat leader and King at second string so King would have scored more too. OK by then we have Garrity and Joonas out so it was a long shot but to suggest the actual full 1-7 wasn't capable of winning a title if Hans was riding as he should have been was pushing it. As for Harris' 2014 play-off form, dropped 1 point at home and score 7 form 4 completed rides at Poole. Not magical but by no means bad, and for a rider signed on 6.5 that season was very good. Only 2 psoitions struggled in 2014 - 1 and 3. 1 was Hans and 3 was Barker/guest because our stupid management sacked MJJ! I know. Quite funny really. Adam confirmed what I posted on here last year, the same post that his dad rubbished last year Im not going to give his dad too much stick though as generally his posts are very informative and he gives more detail than he ever needed to. Fir the record, I'd have had Hans back as first signing for 2016. But that doesn't change the fact he is trying to throw the blame for his poor performances onto others!
  13. I think you're interpreting it exactly as you're meant to. If you think about it, why the hell would one of the World top 3 riders not be riding in the GP series over 11 rounds but happy to ride in the SEC and the pairs over 7 rounds? Does that 4 meetings really make a difference to his schedule? Someone is clearly making him ride SEC/Best Pairs and not the GPs. I means Best Pairs FFS, who is going to remember or even care who won that in 5 years time? They may remember his Euro titles but so what? Best of a load of second rate riders. I'd rather have top 8 GP finish than an Euro title.
  14. So Hans has gone to Poole because a winning team around you helps you out. So what was the useless gits excuse in 2015? We finished 2nd in the league and may had our number 1 turned up at just 3 or 4 meetings we'd have finished top. Or what about in 2014 when we got to the play-off final and had it not been for our number 1 going AWOL may have won the play-offs. He is one of the biggest reasons the Bees in 2 season, while having a largely very successful team have not won the title. So much for being dragged along by a winning team. As for Adam Ellis, he confirmed what some of us said last year, he didn't want to be at Lakeside and they had tried to get him to Poole last season but they were unable to fiddle it.
  15. Woryna will probably get 5.xx but as we have 6+ points available he's failing by a point. Makes sense if you can to bring in a proven 6+ rider for him when the rules allow.
  16. Bring in Bjarne. Kings average will drop as he's a heat leader and struggles as a heat leader, Bates might put his average up but he'll end up in the 1-5 then which will drop his average down a bit. When KK is fit on May 1st (which would be convenient as it's the day the heat leader list is no longer relevant) we can drop the dodgy Pole for the returning KK!
  17. Interesting? Buzz is better than 5 of Coventrys riders which is why so many of us were appalled you got him as a second string. Kurtz is better than our bottom 4 too and not a million miles from King. Frankly if they don't score 20 between them they've let you down.
  18. Christ, I'm being lectured to about spelling because I made a typo by a pikey who writes "ppl". A pikey who offered to meet up but has now changed his mind. Bless. All them words and just the two full stops I guess the 3 exclamation marks make up for it in some way.
  19. 55-35. Chris and Krys providing about the only resistance. King sucks as a heat leader, the new Pole isn't that much at all but will be chewed up and spat about Buckowski and Kurtz. Garrity will give it his all but against that top 5 will struggle to score much. Bates and Sarj should be able to get a few points off Ellis, hopefully. The worst result possible for the Bees would be 52-38ish. We either need to do really well (and prove me wrong) or take a thrashing so changes are made like they were after last seasons meetings with Leicester,
  20. HaHaHa. Way to go proving you're a pikey with the thinly veiled threats. I tell you what, I'll met up with you, how about at the local police station? It's not being ripped of paying for a product. It is however ripping off to not pay for someone product or service but still use the product or service. And BT charge £5 a month. How cheap do you want it?
  21. It's scrounging and it;'s the actions of a pikey. And even if I was doing it there no way I'd proudly proclaim it in public FFS! If people can't see how it's at least morally wrong and get a service for free that other are paying for and the supplier is trying to make a business from then I pity you all - and hope that your boss refuses to pay you next month - use your services for nothing in the same way.
  22. I doubt it. She was a Wolves fan before becoming the Sky bird.
  23. wear a flat cap too - totally confuse them!
  24. The best thing about the NSS opening is the panic form the south coast My God we can't have Poole not being the best at something! Funny thing is Shovvy has claimed in the past that speedway under sells its self and is too cheap, it should sell its self as a niche, premium product. BV offer an actual premium product and thus charge for it and he's getting upset about it As pointed out, if the £23 failed, they'll just adjust the price accordingly. Ask any business, far easier to drop your prices to the optimum level than it is to increase them because you can't cope with demand. Christ I had been cycnical about the NSS but some of the comments now it's happening are hilarious
