  1. Hans has a higher 2015 average than Walasek. Lindgren has a higher 2015 average than Milik. At least we have replaced someone who has ridden as a heat leader all year with someone else who has ridden as heat leader to get his average. Miliks average is about 85% second string achieved. But, they're the rules, and tbf to Lynn, Milik replace the unlucky Rory Schlein who was averaging about 9 with bonus points this season.
  2. The Bees website says Robbo is out. Sounds like this meeting could decent into a farce. Garrity may have to ride just to take the 3 gifted points off Swindons possible blank!
  3. And people complain there are no characters left. Say what you like about Jason, never a dull moment when he's around!
  4. Get that 6 with Zach from Birmingham and its a tasty looking team imo!
  5. In which case, he was watching Sarj and thought it was fine. So he has to exclude Garrity. He has to do one or the other. He can't do both. If a rider jumps the start when all 4 are at the tapes but then someone falls off on the 1st bend then all 4 back is called, the fact someone falls off doesn't matter as the race has technically been stopped by then
  6. Fine, so it's an unsatisfactory start and all four back then. As he hadnt moved enough to touch the imaginary tapes and as he had moved the race was stopped before Garrity crashed into Morris.
  7. I agree it wouldn't be an average (not in the true sense of the word) but rather a rating.
  8. Morris and Milik have ridden as heat leaders in every EL meeting they have raced in 2015 though. The solution is to weight each heat so riders averages are a better indication of their worth.
  9. Just checked the rulebook and it makes no mention of when the injuries occurred. Which makes the moaning irrelevant.
  10. Coventry should outscore Swindons reserves every time they meet, thats a HUGE advantage and our top 5 only need to cling on then. You get 22 points just for beating their reserves - if we can't score 30 against their other 5 riders - and you get gifted 9 point in the other 9 heats so you only need to beat their top 5 15 times in 44 attempts.
  11. Come on, this "fiddle" has been going on since time began. Riders have always withdrawn from meetings claiming they have aggravated an old injury to allow reserve to take their place. why have Kings Lynn suddenly got the hump about it?
  12. How was withdrawing King a fast one? Yeah, giving Kus an extra ride, what a fiddle!
  13. That Lynn team could get a win you know! It's not that bad at all.
  14. Next time someone asks why I don't really go to speedway any more, I'll remind them of the Bees Sky meetings in 2015. Farce. Hopefully tonight's performance also proves to the management we lack a rider. Get a 6.5 rider at 2 who can score 10 from 5 (10 from a 6.5 second string is do-able) and suddenly tonight is respectable, even after the farce or heat 12.
  15. TBF he's been stuffed by his team mate and had Bomber fall off as he was looking set to pass Puk.
  16. How the idiot hell is this happening? You can't exclude someone after the race has been stopped for an unsatisfactory start!
  17. If Sarj did jump the race was stopped Garrity crashed! You can't exclude both!
  18. hard to criticise too much as he tried to team ride in the one before. Bloody annoying though. It's more points thrown away by the bees. Technically it should be a fine.
  19. Even if Kus is crap, hopefully Havvy will be on the ball and give Jason an extra ride. TBH, while finishing top would be nice, I'm not worrying about it now. I'm far more worried about us (not) making a change for the play-offs.
  20. Maybe not but why would a rev limiter make a bike easier to ride/safer? I'll be honest, in my head that seems barmy. What does changing chain length do? It might not be able to be a regular feature but as someone who is interesting in the mechanic of stuff, how things work, why they do stuff I'm clueless about speedway bikes and how they actually work and why they work the way they do.
  21. If we're going to go with R/R then you go R/R for Robbo as replacements for Robbo would be Garrity (x3 - technically Sarj has to have 1 of them but Garrity will get Sarjs ride) and the Hans guest. Where as R/R for Hans would mean a ride Garrity (x2), the 4.5 PL guest and King. Basically the same level of riders. But by having a guest for Hans rather than Robbo you get a better guest by over 2 points - You're basically asking, do you want Matej Kus or Greg Walasek to guest!
  22. Honestly, any reasonable discussion from em on this subject is wasted. I can't ride a bike, I don't really understand how engines react. My suggestion was really made more out of ignorance with a tiny little bit of knowledge thrown in. IMO, this is a problem that will require you getting 2 or 3 engine tuners and half a dozen riders (ideally the more engine savvy riders) in a room to fight it over. Us fans will in the main not have a clue how to fix this one. I think this is somewhere the Speedway Star could gain a subscriber, a regular feature on bike set up, how they actually work etc.
  23. The thing is, Lambert IS bigger than Peterborough speedway. Over the years we had first Gollob then Crump, Pedersen etc followed him out the exit door. Holta never turned up in the first place. Since then all manner of mediocre riders have shunned British speedway and they're doing just fine for themselves while British speedway lurches from crisis to crisis. Lambert will still be here in 20 years time, does anyone want to place a bet that their speedway team is?!
  24. Joys of using a phone. It looks like half my sentence got deleted when I tried to change one word!
  25. With Ben Barker now in the Peterborough team he possibly fits as a guest for Robbo. The only issue with with using Barker is which average the BSPA are using for him for EL purposed, is it the King or Kennett rule?
