  1. Where as we have Sky and Eurosport and I just cant get into Swedish speedway. Its nice to watch but a bit meh. Same with the SEC. I like British league racing and the GPs so would be lost without Sky.
  2. Holta? The guy who made top 8 for about 7 seasons? Hardly fair including him. As for AJ, Harris, Bjerre and Lindgren if they are top 16 riders in the World they deserve to be there. It's not a closed shop, its just the top 16 rider in the World doesn't change much form year-to-year and tbh I wouldnt expect it to. Loram was certainly top. Only other two rider with an arguement were TRick and Adams and we all know about Adams poor(er) GP form. He's a long way from being a contentious winner. Nicki 2003 was, based on all meetings a worse WC in 2003.
  3. Mads is certainly an interesting choice. Kildemand is far less risky though. I guess the thinking is that MJJ and Bjerre have been off colour this season while Hans and Bjarne were not exactly dominant last night in a meeting that only really contained AJ in terms of top class opponents (no disrespect to the Czechs and other Swedes who are hardly Hampel, Pepe or Woffy...). These days Hans and Bjarne are more solid and dependable than that ruthless point scoring machines.
  4. The scary thing is the Danes could probably put out 3 teams in this World Cup and get 2 medals! Puk, Pedersen, Pedersen, Mads, MJJ, Larsen, Mads, Klindt, Anderson, Bjerre, Madsen, Kildemand and Bech. I've inlcuded an extra in case of injury
  5. Not quite like Kildemand has. Ward is hard but rarely dirty.
  6. I'm really disappointed with the Latvians tonight. Was looking forward to Doyle vs Bogdanovs Thursday
  7. He's been riding like a moron tonight. Not for the first time this year. He's picked up a very nasty ruthless streak.
  8. The first running was enough to exclude THJ the second was enough to exclude Kildemand. Far more contact.
  9. So not content with throwing it down he then ride through Franc in the rerun. Can't be doing it both ways.
  10. Kildemand doing a Nicki there. Looked for the fall!
  11. Do you think 100s of people woke up one day and hated Darcy Ward and decided to give him a bit of stick? Or do you think Darcy Ward is a bit of a plonker and 100s of people have realised this and so have started giving him a bit of stick?
  12. If I bother to watch I'll be supporting anyone but Poole anyway. Pointless competition. A Poole vs Coventry challenge would probably be of more interest to more people in this country.
  13. So there was a red light. Those with facebook can see a photo here
  14. Said for years Rosco was the man for the job. Brave call picking Stead and it worked.
  15. In fairness,Nige and Kelv will be there so may have quite easily missed the pole.
  16. Manzares does what Greg and Ward can't do Beat Stead. The GB race suits are not very GB are they?
  17. You're right, so you exclude the rider who messed up.
  18. And good for him. I just don't get all this, guff each year about him being a star of the future or a good young rider. He's ok. Hes a steady plodder that PL teams need, half a point each season. Like Matty Wethers did at Edinburgh for years. I've openly admitted numerous times I've been wrong about riders. In fact quite a lot, I'm not sure why people think I'm not. I'm one of the first to laugh at some of my own predictions. I guess Kyle Newman is my obvious like-for-like in this case, or Todd Kurtz. Rated both highly after seeing them early on but neither has really gone on to do much but they're still decent enough PL signings.
  19. Just to echo my comments on the main meeting thread. Absolutely loved the 125cc stuff before the PL meeting. 12 young lads, no nonsense, just got on with it. Each one of them a credit to our sport but their families too - well done to all 12 and thank you for restoring some of my faith in the sport Dont mind admitting I'm now a fan of the McGurk boys, Harry was easily the fastest and most exciting rider on show and Sam, how could you not love the little lad?
  20. Done Prague 3 times. Wandered around with an expensive camera, wandered into the less touristy bits at night to find a more local bar/pub and every time was ok. I'd suggest it's no worse than any other major World city. Walk around London waving your Rolex at night and someone will mug you for it!
  21. Ash Morris is vastly over rated by many. I remember arguing n here with his dad years ago that he'd do well to make it past PL reserve level. Where is he now after 4(?) seasons of PL racing? Still in reserve.
  22. What a surreal meeting, watched 15 heats listening to thunder and watching the lightening in every direction. A swiftly but not rushed too much meeting. Absolutely loved the 125cc stuff before the PL meeting. 12 young lads, no nonsense, just got on with it. Each one if them a credit to our sport but their families too - well done to all 12 and thank you for restoring some of my faith in the sport
