I guess we could dig a trench roughly where Hadrian built his wall and push Scotland out to sea! -
Scottish Speedway And The Independance Vote
SCB replied to teddy2706's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
You can't change Geography. Scotland will always, what ever they want, be part of Britain. Geography and politics are NOT the same. -
Isn't the riders wearing helmets at all times more of a local H&S thing that a rule?
-
TBH, as a Harris fan, the only think that bothered me was that Harris was not out there doing the same!

It will but if you piston is moving horizontal it'll be pushing down on the barrel very slightly due to gravity. Eventually this will cause slight wear. If the engine is only going up and down, the gravity of not being exerted on any parts you need to keep in shape, just the piston itself that doesn't ever actually hit anything. In addition to the wear on the barrel, it will obviously cause a small amount of friction, probably an irrelevant amount. I would imagine the only real saving is the fact the centre of gravity is lower. But it's certainly not bad thing in other respected.

Swedish Gp Malilla Saturday June 14th
SCB replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Nicki is in the wrong. 100% IMO. But it's a GP, you have to take these risk. Bomber did the same to Freddie in heat 4(?) and Freddie moved over, if it had been Freddie and not Matej then Freddie would have moved out of the way. While referees allow rider to "move over" other riders, you'll always have rider to do this. Nicki did NOT kick Matej off his bike, despite the speedway star twitter photos. Nicki clashed with Matej and as well as sending Matej to the fence unbalanced himself, this lead to him falling off the bike and his leg sticking up. Nicki kicking Matej and riding off was the actions of a coward. Either stay and sort it out or ride off at the first sign of trouble. Don't kick and then ride off. So in summing up, Nicki = bad man but not the anti-Christ he's being painted here. Now some of his other moves in the past, they were bad. As for karma, we've been saying that for 15 years. Nicki generally seems to bounce/crash well - maybe thats why he can't see what he is doing is so bad? -
But surely a half hearted Tai is better than 100% effort from Lasse Bjerre or Rene Bach (I used them two as they're two of the higher averaged PL riders without an EL place)

TBF, the Wolves fans are right. Top scoring 3 GPs in a row but still scoring 6 and 7 a meeting for Wolves. They've every right to be peed off. But from a British/GP POV, he's been brilliant lately. Now he's got over whatever held him back in the first 2 GPs he's showing last year was no fluke, in fact right now I think he's better than he was last season.

Newcastle V Somerset Pl Sunday 15th June 2014 At 6.30pm
SCB replied to dantodan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
It's not very often a teams heat leaders fail to beat an opponent. If Newcastle get a 5-1 here in heat 13 thats exactly what has happened. edit > Can't even be rubbish properly! Nick Morris has beat an opponent. -
Nicki Pedersen. Mbe ?
SCB replied to Super Blue's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I'll come on here and slag off Nicki until the cows come home. But please, don't ban him and please Nicki, never retire As for last night, the actual speedway incident was pretty tame by Nickis standards. But he did make himself look silly kicking out and racing off like that. -

TBF. my comment on facebook earlier was, "What a wimp Pedersen! Kick him then ride off then goad him when there's enough people around to save you!" but I still don't see how that deserving of a ban! It just makes him a bit of a dick. -

What rubbishe. Both should have been given a £600 bonus for adding to the nights entertainment. If two riders want to fight/slap each other then let them! As for the rest of you calling for bans and all sorts. It's a GP FFS, Nicki was hardly going to sit back and stay in 4th. He made a move, he got it wrong. If we're going to ban rider who misjudge things you'll end up with gate and go speedway. -

Would you believe it. Football fans prefer football to other sport -
Seems it was just the GP qualifier heats/interviews that were filmed on a mobile then! Did they really use that footage?! Jeeze!

Shame? I'm loving it. If he was showing last seasons form for Wolves they'd be set for the play offs. -

Win for Bomber then! -
TBF, didn't Dan Giffard have his career ended because the riders couldn't see but were refused a sun break which results in a nasty crash? Lets play safe on this one, is a 20 minute interval really that big a problem? As long as it's used as the actual interval I don't see the problem.

SCB replied to Main Man's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
You're kiding right? So we have a development leaguer, where surely the key is development and not winning, awarding points to teams to save on fuel? Why not just award all meetings to save a bit of fuel? -
Sgp Challenge Final Sat 20th Sept
SCB replied to screm's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
You would hope that the wildcard would be so they can pick the best of the two 8th place riders. Or Emil. -
Both of them, obviously!
-
Surely the promotion are not going to drop a member of their own family and none of the other riders should be dropped for Albin - it would make them weaker. Would be funny if after his rant at Somerset that Proctor was dropped for being rubbish, after all he's been given a chance.
