Belle Vues National Speedway Stadium
SCB replied to Phil The Ace's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Can just see it, they build a new National Speedway Stadium. Then build executive flats on the old stadium. The new residents of the executive flats complain about the noise..... -

Woofy Still Getting Good Media Coverage
SCB replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
For sports relief on Friday we had to dress up in work as our "favourite sports personality". I bought a set of Coventry Bees kevlars on ebay and wore them, nobody knew who/what I was and when I mentioned speedway they assumed cars. Irrelevant sport despite all Tais coverage, sadly -
I understand how Wolves work, thats why I said 6 weeks and not 3!

How Would You Improve Presentation?

Or that then. I'm not saying it perfect but IMO some older stuff has a place. And some newer stuff doesn't. And playing a compilation CD on repeat is a massive no. -
So he can only be crap when he has raced for Somerset. They're not able to look at the results of 4 meeting this season and see he would be lucky to score points as a second string this season? He's had 4 terrible meetings, he has shown nothing other than he is incable of scoring, it's hardly a shock he's been dropped. I give him 6 weeks at Wolves.

It makes me want to sleep! You're right. The coolest/biggest ban in the world right now in the eyes of teenagers have it wrong. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVNRD3_OO38 -
I do like to go right to the top to watch a few heats, it's different, weird, in a good way. Wouldn't want to see a whole meting up there though

So the old people are telling us they only go for the racing. But are getting upset when we say to stop playing rubbish music (and some of that rubbish music BTW, is modern.) As I posted above, its not about playing modern music. It's playing the right music. Someone said they don't like "black music" (and it can hardly be called racists when the black people have there own music awards - the MOBOs) and I agree, neither do I and I don't think most of that is suitable for a speedway meeting either. As an example, this song is currently number 2 in the charts, people like it clearly. It's a terrible song to play at speedway. Where as this song was written in 1977 but it's a good speedway song IMO. MODERN MUSIC IS NOT THE ANSWER, THE RIGHT MUSIC IS. -
Ah, Kujawa. Rode two heats very half heartedly and walked out. People complaining he's been dropped before turning a wheel, the SRBF, the olympique, Mads testimonial and Havvys farewell don't count then?

Bottom tier sucks. Poor view, less atmosphere probably as you're covered by the middle tier). Best seats we ever had were front row of the middle tier on the straights. Top tier is better if you want to move around a bit.

You're right. Tell Spielberg in his next big hit not to bother with a musical score. You'll never please everyone anyway. People are only watching it for the story anyway right? -
Peterborough V Rye House 18 March Challenge

Where as some of us said they were the team to watch. Early days but I expect Garrity to score more for them in the future so look like a pretty good team right now. -
No I don't. The rule was changed about the time I was born. No it's not expelled. It's disqualified if we're being pedantic.
-
Probably not. If I get bored one evening this week I'll look at it. I'm sure I did something for the GPs a few years ago so probably have it mostly done if I can find it - I'll have a look.

James Wright - Making A Comeback?
SCB replied to skoobie's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
One person has been nasty. Pretty much everyone else has jumped to his defence. If this thread is likely to upset him then I'm amazed he's not already headed for the nearest bridge and topped himself as life is far crueller than this thread. -
Sayfutdinov Out Of Gp's
SCB replied to Fozzie4388's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
No it's not. No, no, no, no. If you score a maximum in the SEC the money is more but only by a tiny amount. Frankly, if that small amount of money makes a difference to Emil then I feel for the guy, he's living in poverty. Who'd be a speedway rider eh?! -
its probable if I looked at it now I'd cry at its complexity!
-
Its always been that way in league racing. The bike has to touch the start for an exclusion. In international racing the rider would be excluded.
