  1. "heck of a lot of passing"? OK HArris was passed 6 times but that was in. The Bees bottom 3 were generally at the back by bend 1 Anyone who saw Bomber last night would not question his ability to gate lead out of bend 2 4 times. "5 at home" is unfair. It was 5+3 and included an EF. He dropped 1 point form his completed rides. He was terrible at Lakeside though.
  2. Which as a % probably has BV top! Thats 50% of their meetings!
  3. As theres a thread about the site, there WILL be an update soon. I havent abandoned the site I just started a new job at the start of the season and have had less time to work on it (and I did lose interest for a while). Thanks for the praise though, makes it worth it when I get nice comments - and even criticism so I can make it better.
  4. Only starman could think a rider scoring 000 isn't dropping his average!
  5. Werent you one of the people saying how good he was earlier in the year? He was pathetic, didn't even look like he was trying and half a lap behind. Harris lead every heat he was in but only scored 4, Lanham just not an EL second string any more but doubt Bates would have done much better, KK ok if he gated and tried when he didn't but just couldn't do anything, Sarj was as expected tbh. Lakeside were just good, all of them.
  6. Just enjoy 4 riders racing 4 laps 10 times (15 if it's not raining). Or you'll go mad!
  7. Coventry asset, we get priority surely? Why No Ben Barker for Garrity?
  8. Leigh Lanham doesn't have a 5 point EL average from last season! It might be the EDR but it's also EL speedway that people are paying £17 for. They deserve a bit of quality and not dross guests because nobody else is available. Be honest though, not sure why we're not using Roynon but then he's had a 5 point el average in the past.
  9. I agree that no8 can only replace a 1-5 rider but Busk Jakobsen is NOT a 1-5 rider so cannot be replaced by your number 8.
  10. Pretty ordinary meeting tbh. Though AJs exclusion was harsh and was massively impressed with Woryna who I though rode in a far more controlled fashion tonight until the last lap of heat 14! Maybe not as exciting but more effective. Sarj looked pretty good too and Roynon did more than I think anyone expected. As for the rest, blink and you missed them. Thought the crowd was pretty good personally.
  11. Can someone explain how Wilkinson is still in reserve and Huckenbech in the 1-5? Wilkinson has a higher average than big Huckenbech and Jakobsen who he (Kai Huckenbech) is replacing. Also, if the rules are stuck to and Jakobsen is in reserve, Huckenbech cannot replace him as he can only replace 1-5 riders.
  12. I can only assume that a new rules was written when Adam Ellis got injured that says EDR riders can only ever be replaced by EDR riders, guests and R/R are not an option, despite what the rulebook says. Makes sense tbf.
  13. What is your criteria for a wildcard? For me its someone unlucky not to make it. Bad luck can be being injured or bike problems. Robert would have easily qualified if it wasn't for a bike problem. Personally I'm more shocked by Paco Castagana getting a wildcard! Out of curiosity who would you have awarded the place to? I know it's not really the done thing but I'm hoping that for some reason a few riders can't attend so Cook and King get another chance.
  14. I just assumed the latest version o the GSA are relevant, as thats what he rules say!
  15. I hope the Russians make an effort, they really would be one of the favourites. Would also make the race off a much better meeting as a good Russian team means forcing more good teams to the race off.
  16. You have cause and effect the wrong way around. A good team will score more points which people see as home track advantage. Scunthrorpe score 23(?) at Glasgow, they havent once only scored 23 at home suggesting they're better at home than away!
  17. I havent said that at all. I can see it's pointless discussing this with you. You're ignoring all the fact and even reading what you want in what I post. Pensioners certainly had it easier than today's under 30s when they were under 30. They didn't have to pay £30000 for an degree did they? They also only had to pay 2.2 times their salary for a house, rather than nearly 7 times.
  18. Pensioners would have bought a house in the 70s so they bought that at a time when the price of houses vs the average salary was at a stupidly low ratio and when wage inflation for the next 10 years inafalted away most of the debt. Meanwhile, the last 15 years has seen house prices at a staggering ratio of about 7 times an annual wage (vs about 2.2 in the 70s) so pensioners DID have it easier whne they were in there 20s and 30s and not they did not "struggle the same". At least they had a realistic chance which they can only blame them selves for if they blew the opportunity. Something anyone under 35 has only bene able to dream of (or get into dangerous levels of debt for)
  19. BV Speedway promoted the meeting, the buck stops with them. Why is that so hard to grasp.
  20. I believe that anyone with a ticket gets a refund AND entry to the game tomorrow night.
  21. Have you read the report? £788 is the poverty line. Most under 25s would love to have £788 after paying for their housing! Just what do pensioners need to spend their £788 a month on? They should have paid for their homes, they don't have to pay for a TV licence if they're over 75, they get a winter heating allowance, they don't need to run a car and they get free bus travel. £788 is a lot of food, extra heating and speedway! Meanwhile a 20yo on minimum wage working 40 hours a week £888 a month and they have to pay to get to work and at 20 won't have yet paid of a mortgage so if they're lucky will "only" have to pay £400 a month from that £888 in rent. Leaving the 20yo with £488 a month. Nobody is saying pensioners have it great, whats being said is that young people have it a LOT worse so why should OAPs get a discount while young people don't? If you think OAPs should get a discount where do you stand on under 25s getting a discount? Frankly, nobody should be getting a discount because they can't afford it. It's the governments job to pay people if they can't afford to live. Discounts should be about attracting your target audience.
  22. He won't end on 8 but 7 is possible. Between Newman and Ellis they'll get about 3 or 4 as a heat leader but 8 or 9 not as a reserve and it'll average out to be about 7. The rule that needs there to always be an EDR in reserve will be a killer for Ellis and Newmans averages.
