Coventry Bees V Belle Vue Aces 27/05/2016
SCB replied to Woz01's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
World Under 21 Champion. World number 2. What's embarrassing is calling some own with them achievements embarrassing! What's Fast Freddie achieved exactly? Less than Chris Harris, same number of GP wins but Harris has more podiums and finished 6th to Fast Freddie's 8th. Ouch! -
thats a messed up logic. It's like saying "all pregnant people are women so all women are pregnant" A #8 can only only replace a 1-5 rider does NOT mean a #8 rides in the 1-5 if he replaces a reserve. The TR was introduced in the PL KOC in 2003

He's beat 2 opposing riders who have completed 4 laps. I think it's safe to say KK wouldn't have done any worse! -

So the fact that in the last 2 season second strings have averages 18% more than second strings is irrelevant? Next you'll be saying that Robert Brandford 9.60 NL average makes him the next rider in the Coventry team. Nobody has said weaken or suggested he's a bad guest. Just pointing out it's pretty similar. I'm sure everyone is sorry for daring to discuss a speedway meeting on a speedway forum though! -
Give him a chance? I gave him one. He's failed, a few times. Like how, when the rules state Carl Wilkinson should be in the 1-5 has he ridden in reserve for the last 2 meetings? And then that means Busk-Jakobsen rides in reserve so Kai Huckenbeck cannot replace him as he can only replace a 1-5 rider. Ive asked on here, I've tweeted the BSPA and Kings Lynn and nobody has the decency to respond. Don't the BSPA "get" twitter? It's not liek the regular press where all comms is one way, twitter you have discussion. If I tweet BT or Sky I'll get a response. Tweet the BSPa or the BSPA chairmans club and I'm point blank ignored. Despite his promise of "transparency".
-
Yet one of the top guys in the BSPA decided to call fans "think, biased or both" when they saw the farce coming. I wonder if Jon Cook still think it's the fans who were thick now with the benefit of hindsight? If he does he's quite clearly "thick, biased or both"!

But they both have this season, which is the one that matters. Up to the 10th of this month, weighted to allow for being a second string in some meetings I make Freddies non-bonus average from all meetings this season to be 7.75 and KKs to be 8.22 so actually, KK is better! Do you think I'd go to the trouble to work out weighted averages to then not take into account which meetings should and should not be weighted?! -

How the hell is Huckenbeck riding? And Wilkinson not in the 1-5? -

Last season I worked out that the average rider who rode as a heat leader and a second string did about 18% better as a second string than as a heatleader. So if you take KK and Freddies averages and allow an 18% weighting there nothing between them -
Ah the old, "green belt" arguement again. Only 8% of the UK is buit on. So even if we went mad a double the amount of homes, places of entertainment, roads, workplace then the UK would still be 84% not built on! Sod it, when are we going to stop obsesses over a bit of grass?
-
Eeek, Looks like I was wrong. I had it my head that Skornicki got about 7.25 in his season with Poole. Ah well, Middlo didn't do anything for Skornicki either then. So thats another off the list who had great season, turned their career around etc thanks to Middlo, now making the list zero
-
Who the hell brings Ed Kennet into their team to improve away form? It's like buying a job lot of dairy milk because you're getting fat!
-
"one bad meeting"? Im referring to his dropping to reserve and dropping back to the PL. Not great for an Australian Champion. Skornicki has just had two terrible season at Oxford and BV then had his bets ever season including winning the Polish title. Personally don't think Middlo made any difference what so ever but it's only fair to include it as he may have done! Funny how Sidney and Starman refer to all these riders he helped. Like who?
-
starman likes to tell us Neil works wonders. Well he taken a highly rated, going places youngster and broke him. Yet I can't think of any rider Middlo has got hold of and turned their career around aside from Adam Skornicki.
-
SO he was Australian Champion before his first meeting for Poole, since Middlo has got his hands on him he's gone backwards, dropped the reserve and now has to drop back to the PL. Maybe Middlo isn't the wonder worker starman claims?

I believe KK is at the GP qualifier, King will be at Brandon. Just hope they don't book Hans as a guest. I full expect BV to win this one but they do have a few up and down riders, as do we so it could go completely against any sort of form. So with that in mind I'll illogically say 47-43 home win. -
They do have the option, people just don't know how to read the rulebook so no reserve was used. Amazing really!

Poole Pirates Vs Belle Vue Aces 23/5/16 Sky Meeting
SCB replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
A speedway discussion forum where you can't discuss speedway! It was bad enough some tried to get chatting about gambling banned. Can't predict results, can't discuss while he meeting is taking place. The BSF has more unwritten bazar rules than the BSPA have written rules! -

Same here. Plenty of passing, generally exciting stuff. Since when did the fans fall for the guff from riders that fm tracks should be motorway smooth and dull to watch? Make all tracks like this and sort the men from the boys. People saying it was crap and embarrassing, my brother in law has never sat and watched speedway before and he enjoyed it! im loving being a wrong on this one 😂Makes me laugh. Can't comment on the score because of live updates and people without sky but can discuss incidents that are happening. Some of you are bloody barmy! -

You ARE allowed a replacement if a rider moved when the green lights are on. What a joke! -
Bspa Have Blocked Richard Hall`s Move To Brum!

So the National DEVELOPMENT League is not a development league? Mind you, the Elite and Premier leagues are not very Elite and certainly not premier either so you could have a point. -

I trust that all riders over the age of 30 have been told that they're going to be replaced soon? And its a joke that Shelby Rutherford, an Aussie has been allowed to return on an lower average than the one he last attained about 5 years ago! -
Coventry V Lakeside This Friday (20/5) & Return Clash Saturday
SCB replied to Bryn's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I'm not blaming the track, the meeting was pants because the Bees bottom 3 were shocking from the start and then shocking for the ensuing 4 laps. Harris was only better I that his starts were better. It's not a dig at the track but to claim it was "heck of a lot of passing" is pushing it. It was a boring, dull meeting and I put that far more down to the Bees ineptness than the Lakeside track that I actually don't think is that bad these days - in fact I'd go as far as to say it's one of the best EL tracks. If Kerr passed anyone I missed it! I'll concede the others thought. Mind you, I may have just been bored and nodded off.
