Who Will The Replacement Be For Bukhave At Redcar.
SCB replied to mikebaker's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Don't look at rolling averages, http://speedway-stats.co.uk/Team/16 Simon Nielsen has averaged 3.88 this season. -
New Averages (team Line Up Changes Updates)
SCB replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
What does his assessed average have to do with it? Thats a load of bullrubbish. (not shooting you as the messenger btw!) You say the wording is terrible then make something up. It's simple, Huckenbeck can only replace a 1-5 rider. If NBJ is in reserve, he is NOT a 1-5 rider and cannot be replaced. Now where I will concede there is a possibility is that they have decided 1-5 EDR riders can only be replaced by other EDR riders (they maintain EDR status even in the 1-5) so it's not beyond the realms of possibility that an a 1-5 rider is ALWAYS a 1-5 rider even if he drops to reserve. So that means Huckenbeck CAN replace NBJ when NBJ drops to reserve but nowhere does it say that he should have to ride in the 1-5, that make no sense what so ever. If Korneliussens average drops to 3 he'd be in reserve (almost certainly) and that means that he cannot be replaced by a #8 using the rules, it only get awkward when you and Rob Lyon start making up your own rules. And it has always been the case that as long as your #8 was declared in your team even if his average went above the riders he was eligible to replace it didn't matter, unless you re-declared. That seems perfectly reasonable to me, you shouldn't be punished because your number 8 has out performed another rider. Obviously if you then redeclare you have to make a change. -
Surely is Coventry are track-less and Leicester are promoter-less the solution is for Mick to take over Leicester. He could keep the best of the Leicester set-up and the name but could take the better bits of Coventry, some riders, sponsors, backroom team and a few fans might pop along too if theres some familiarity but it would still be Leicester and the people of Leicester would support it. To move Coventry to Leicester in place of (or even in addition to) Leciester would be madness and would work for nobody at all.

New Averages (team Line Up Changes Updates)
SCB replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The issues is, what is a "1-5 rider"? a rider riding in the 1-5? Or a rider who is not an EDR? So can replace an "1-5" rider is can replace someone not an EDR but can only ride in the 1-5 is literally ride in the 1-5. But thats not what the rules says. So how to you explain..... http://speedway-stats.co.uk/Meeting/2493 Carl Wilkinson had a 4.5(ish) averages, busk-jakobsen about 4.1 and Huckenbeck 4.00 but Huckenbeck, replaicng Busk-Jakobsen rode in the 1-5 despite the fact he was replacing a rider in reserve and his average would have put him in reserve -

What I said was Huckenbech CANT replace nbj while nbj is in reserve. Somehow the BSPA have decided he can replace him and ride one the 2-5 though -incorrectly. -

You missed nothing. Just that Stead and Worrall want to be British Champion and that promoters cannot answer a straight question with a straight answer. -
I have a ticket in the West Terrace too and having stood their last week I'm more than happy with my ticket choice.

British Final Belle Vue June 13th.
SCB replied to Sidney the robin's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
The issue was apparently his temperament, not his ability to ride the track. I would agree that Wolves is one of his best tracks but look at his Wolves and BV scores this season and theres not a lot in it. How many people do you think are going to pass Cook and Nicholls in the same heat at the NSS this season? Because Jason did it! Do I think he'll win? Not really. But if he does somehow sneak the semis and then the final would you really bet against him? He's capable of having big riders and always has. And he only has to beat Cook, Nicholls and Harris - two of whom he has, as I mentioned above, passed at BV this season. -

Some of us got 25/1 on Garrity last week! As for Garritys temperament, 6th and 4th the last two seasons. Temperament doesn't seem like an issue to me. -
Stupid me, coming on a discussion forum and asking a questions to encourage discussion. Maybe I should just go around calling people who ask questions stupid.

PK replaced foreigner Mikkel Bech who started as a heat leader. I just don't see the issue here. -

Theres only a top 4 of Garritt was in reserve. You honestly think that Stead, PK or some other 6.5 rider replacing Bates on the 1-5 wouldn't make Coventry stronger? Hahahahaha -
we'll scrape home wins generally but lose by just enough away to be too much. We're not a million miles from a good team though tbf.

The Coventry meeting really was that good!

Speak for yourself. It's rubbish. For try second year running it'll be a BV vs Poole final. People always enjoy the years their teams do well, no suprise to see a BV fan enjoying this season and good for you but don't fool yourself that because there's a feel good factor at BV that the rest of the EL is enjoying it!

How the hell was that a coin toss? And how did they decide no Monster? Surely Boll got 3rd as they all have he same numbers of 3,2,1s but Boll the only team with no retirement or exclusions. -

This just seems like confusion rather than rule breaking. -
TBF, people are paying EL prices, they already see two draft riders you can't bring in even more "kids" Good to see they have listened to the feedback (or what some call moaning, bitching and complaining) and done something about it!

Personally, I like a final, seeing a big finish is nice. But I do agree that a poor gater while able to pick off one top rider in each heats will struggle to pick off 3 in a final. I'm going to claim it's why Bomber hasn't won more title Honestly can't wait for this. Such a shame it's not a weekend meeting, I'd happily make the 7-8 hour round trip to be there after Mondays meeting at the NSS. -
If theres a second half I'll generally stay at watch it for the first few heats and see how it's panning out. Sometimes the riders are of such a varied standard watching 4 riders ride around and finish 30 metres apart from each other is pointless. But get 6-8 riders of a similar standard and it's worth staying to watch. I remember seeing the likes of Ben Barker, Jordan Frampton and Kyle Newman in second half and raving about them so I love it when 2 of them went on to ride for Coventry in the EL! And there was a lad a few years ago I saw crash on lap 2 of a second half ride and knew then he was good. He's doing alright for himself now, Robert Lambert. I find it odd that someone how paying to watch NL speedway has never watched second half racing when his club were EL or PL as the riders you tend to get in an EL second half, certainly until the MDL come along in recent years was often NL level.
-
He was a second string last year but under achieving teams mates means he went to heat leader and people moaned about him!
-
Of course it is! If it's not real it's been assessed. "rider with an assesed MA" how much more clear do you want it? TBF, the rules rarely make sense. Jump and touch the tapes and you can start form 15 metres or a reserve comes in. Jump and don't touch the tapes and you're disqualified with no reserve and no option to start from 15. Totally illogical but thats the rules.
