  1. I wouldn't say he had no ability. But he's a 19 year old he's more potential that current talent. Bjarne is more now than Woryna. Woryna is likeable though, certainly no lack of effort from the lad.
  2. You can't protest on the day. You have to do it beforehand.
  3. More Poole rules. Robbos not an EDR and he has a higher EL average. Still, they're on a roll with their made up rules. It's still not been explained how they got a guest for Holder at Brandon
  4. Wouldn't have signed Watt at his peak so certainly don't want him now! Despite what others say about him I'd not be upset with Bjarne, always quite liked him - ok he's not the best option but he's far form the worst! In fact I'd guess that on a bad day he'll match anything that Woryna has scored on a good day.
  5. He is NOT an "elite sports person" or "established at the highest level" so should not be here. Neither should Jye Etheridge. He's welcome to criticize the job I do in Australia all he likes. Oh, thats right, I'm not in Australia taking the job of an Aussie who is better than me! Let me know when he finally hits a 5 point average, he's failed twice already. I'd suggest that makes me right about him.
  6. The joy of last seasons stupid format means he can't. His average is too high. Maybe thats why he's riding like a girl? Get his average down, like Joe did at Wolves before he dropped down?!
  7. It did when it kept reserves in reserve. But now second strings and heat leaders are going to be dropping to reserve it's going to be a disaster.
  8. Ties in with that I have said a lot. I think he's just sees the tiniest of movement and goes. When he's off 1 and 4 that just means he goes the split second the magnets move and he gets called back for it. Off 2 and 3 I think he sees other riders twitching so goes and does genuinely jump and then as a result touches the tapes sometimes. Now if his team managers would pick up on this and inform him and remind him that off 2 and 3 he might have to be more cautious, it might be crappier starts off 2 and 3 or it might just mean him looking a little further forward off 2 and 3 so he sees less of the opposition riders. But it would stop when he does jump from happening.
  9. What gate was he on in heat 15? I'm guessing 2 or 3? In the last 8 times he's touched the tapes hes only been of 1 or 4 once. I'm guessing one of Garrity or Bates were along side him and they they could fool him into moving.
  10. It's really not difficult for newbies. "4 riders, 4 laps. Points awarded 3-2-1-0. The riders for the heats are determined by a predefined formula and the team manager puts his riders in the position he thinks will work best for his team. Should a team be 10 points behind and can one time pick any 1 rider in their team to score double points in a single race" Yes you could explain reserves, averages, how an average is calculated, how the heat format adds bias to an average, how it all so massively flawed it bugs those of us who know but DONT. Just DONT! Simply explain what they need to know. If you do want to explain averages just state, "each rider is given an average, this average is his average number if points scored in the last 20 meetings so that people can see how they're performing. These averages are used for signing you team to stop any one team signing the best 7 riders in the World and winning everything - think of it as a draft like they have in American sports" What is confusing is the fans making it confusing most of the time. Yes some rules are weird, off, stupid and even some are confusing but they don't need to be know and won't ruin your enjoyment if you don't know them really.
  11. That! It amazes me that the referee can judge that a rider has anticipated means the referee is saying they have better, more perfect judgement than the riders
  12. The issue is NOT the high scoring foreign reserve if he is the teams 6th or 7th best rider. The issue is the race format has given Paul Starke and inflated average. If Paul had genuinely out performed Klindt to get into the position then fine. High scoring riders in reserve will ALWAYS happen.
  13. Good to see Sarj having a good night in the PL for Ipswich - 11 from 4 before touching the tapes. Hopefully he's starting to turn a corner.
  14. Honesty, integrity and an explanation of why certain decisions are made. Not to be treated with contempt. A close meeting with my team winning but I accept that can't be made to happen and some times my team will lose and sometimes they'll win so easily it's a bit boring.
  15. Of course the SCB can't license a track as being fit to race on. They'd have to issue licenses every day as if it rains it's not fit. Of course they can only check dimensions.
  16. WOAH! You can't say that, he's great you know! So far, by my reckoning this season the only 1-5 riders he beaten are Jye Etheridge (who shouldn't be over here), Jakob Bukhave (has he beat anyone yet?!) and Ludvig Lindgren. Hardly the form of a man deserve of a work permit and fitting the UKV&I criteria of "elite sports person" and "established at the highest level".
  17. Newman only raced his 2nd away meeting last night so get a new average in a weeks time. Bates has a 2/2 average of exactly 4 so nothing changes in terms of riding order.
  18. I have and I'm sure when he sees it he will respond. He often does - I bet he loves correcting me
  19. Im often wrong. When people tell me I'm wrong and explain it I can accept it. But when someone just tells me I'm wrong with no explanation then it's hard to believe that I'm actually wrong. I actually spent a lot of my life getting things wrong but I learn from it. Sadly, with speedway this isn't possible as nobody wants to tell you why you're wrong!
  20. i assume that as he's an EDR and gets an average after 2/2 he now gets an averages every cut off date. But who knows for sure?!
  21. So Matt Ford is a liar then. Or biased. Or both. As is Neil Watson for telling me I was wrong when I suggested this.
  22. So what rule allowed them to have a facility then? This is why the sport is a joke. Nobody explains to the fans how things happen. Was it a case of "it's Poole so they can do what they like"? Or is that actually a rule that allows it?
  23. For that heat 14 paid win I think Josh can claim hero status. So I'll take that for a prediction
  24. Coventry will be able to win in Woffy and Hancock for King and Woryna soon!
  25. He'd have to drive to Poole as there no way Matt will be in Coventry.
