  1. On reflection, I saw five posters on my way to work this morning. I know where there are a couple more too. Not too bad!
  2. Sam Masters was only fined (less than Greg Hancock) the other week for knocking Lasse Bjerre off after a race, then running quite a distance at him, and beating on him while he was still lying on the track. Hall and Hancock at least took their retribution out on a rider who had knocked them off! Anyway, I'm all for these scraps, fairly gets the blood racing. But as in ice hockey, let the two guys deck it out in public but throw the book at at the "third man" -- anyone trying to join in gets the big ban!
  3. Do you feel the 'restless natives' will have any reasonable, constructive suggestions to make?
  4. I looked in the rule-book: 16.2.9 An EL or PL Rider starting the season with an Assessed MA will have an Established MA after 4 Home and 4 Away fixtures, becoming effective 7 days after the last qualifying Meeting. Should an Established MA not be achieved in order to be effective from 1st May, then the MC may issue a revised MA, based upon actual rides if the Team re-declares. Seems pretty clear. Nice try.
  5. It might be the best for Scottish speedway if the result tomorrow was another close away win. If each club are in the top half of the league, and can beat each other, the publicity of the competition and expectation of each set of fans will be a real boost for the sport.
  6. Who was the other rider? I'm told they both looked good, went round much the same pace.
  7. I was told one of them was an unknown Danish rider who had not ridden in the UK..............
  8. The chance of a point for Glasgow will lie with how many rollers James Sargeant is able to get away with.
  9. Pity about this, although all weather forecasts indicated it would be a no-no. Sensible move by Devils promotion to call off early, prevent people travelling from the north.
  10. I'm told there were two riders out practising after the junior match tonight. Does anyone know who they were? Redcar's new rider, maybe? Or Berwick's?
  11. As soon as a nation is eliminated, their riders are free to race elsewhere. Matej Kus is at Redcar tonight, for instance.
  12. You watch Quest when speedway's not on it? Now THAT is sad..........
  13. If Morris contributes at Plymouth in the way he seems to have done at Ipswich, who knows?
  14. It is a league match, I'm pretty sure. There were dates quoted in a recent Berwick newsletter with the Cup dates, which are in July, I think. Berwick's team has been wrecked by injuries and now sickness. I'm presuming the earlier references to Michael Palm Toft will mean he joins Rob Branford and Jan Graversen as a Bandit for the day. Going to be a long night for the Berwick faithful in attendance. Normally I wish I were at the away matches, but today I'm rather glad to be at home. Now awaiting the overdue first post blaming the promotion.
  15. Maybe even a local businessman could join in?
  16. Dare I suggest that sounds like something the supporters club or 2012 group might be able to help with?
  17. Nothing wrong with that suggestion. Seems there might be equal entrenchment on both sides.
  18. Club seem firmly behind Barker in tonight's e-letter. Which is dead right.
  19. Berwick's guests are confirmed by club e--letter to fans as Ryan Fisher and Jan Graversen.
  20. Not Danish Championships, it'll be a league meeting. There'll be a guest for Claus Vissing, another one for Hynek Stichaeur and probably rider replacement for Thomas Jorgensen.
