A horrific crash in the second half MDL final with two Belle Vue riders ploughing through the 4th bend fence at speed and getting up to walk away relatively unscathed. Who needs an air fence when we have the safest fence in British speedway? How can the rider who orignally fell (for the second time when on his own) be allowed to race when he regularly seems to fall so easily? - he was very lucky again that he was being follwed by far more skillful riders than him who were able to miss him - felt very sorry for the lad who had the massive accident into the fence through no fault of his own. Not too sure he would have walked away had we had the new (but solid) airfence.

hello another option for you if you dont have a car is to come to Rye house at 7pm on Saturdays - I know its not elite racing but it is another track you could get to from Cambridge and the station is only 2 mins walk from the stadium

very simple really the setting sun was low in the sky shining into the riders eyes entering the 3rd bend - about 10 mins delay to allow sun to set - no problem really have seen this happen at many tracks over the years - at least it was a bit warmer tonight
