  1. Sad to say it's been 2 years now since we have seen the true Davey
  2. Notice Adam S is out of wolves no waiting around there then
  3. think we all knew the rules which quite clearly state Rob could ride for us
  4. oh yes def coming along to this one - not very optimistic though BUT I always say if you follow a team then FOLLOW them
  5. don't be too sure about that - IF Rob was riding to form don't think Davey Watt would have had a 4th ride and he would have had his full share of rides as well - we only needed 4 more points to get a draw (Ben only had 3 Rob could have had 7 don't forget) seems ridiculous to build a team with Rob at reserve and then NOT use him when we can
  6. read our website 'the big preview' posted on Friday - third sentence says it quite clearly what happened - could not believe the complacency - read further down about how Ben could put himself 'in the shop window for a premier or championship place somewhere' - no offence to Ben but there is a reason why he does not have a place - I am still convinced if Rob had been used we would have won the match
  7. Fully agree thought of NBJ myself - yes I am sure that Robbo will get going ok
  8. Yes even says on the the website preview that we were allowing Rob to ride for Sheffield a decision made by someone that will cost us dearly as now no chance away on Thurs (still think we would have won on Sat if Rob was riding) Can not see any other teams giving up a chance to put out their best side especially when an aggregate score is involved. Thought i had got over heat 14 error at Peterborough last year but this brings it all back.
  9. Can't see it happening - just how long do you give a rider? - there are better riders out there but need changes now but are we brave enough to do it?
  10. Read an earlier statement that we were releasing Rob to ride at Workington tonight and using Ben as a guest - as I posted earlier I could not believe it was happening (I still hope I have got this wrong and Rob HAD to ride for Sheff ) if we could have used him well ...... unbelieveable. yes would have loved to have seen him here this season he had some great rides at Rye last year. Also find it hard to believe that Ricky Wells is not in Premiership this year - (guess he soon will be)
  11. Still find it hard to believe that we allowed Rob to ride for Sheff instead of us (if that is the case - perhaps the rules say we had to) - what was the point of building a team so Rob could ride at reserve if we then decide he can ride somewhere else? - both Ellis Perks and Robs clubs are in action next Thurs -will we see them at Swindon or allow them to ride for their other clubs ? - may as well let them now anyway as we are going out of the cup (do we really have to co-operate with other clubs if we don't have to? - can't see many other Premier sides doing likewise)
  12. I meant Ellis Perks he rides for Redcar at P Boro tomorrow If the rules applies we wont have either of our reserves on Thurs
  13. well guess that means we will be out of the cup - whatever has happened will cost us dearly - think having Rob would have made all the difference - what happens next Thurs now as both Redcar and Sheff are riding ?
  14. not sure of the answer to that BUT am very glad Rob is now riding as there is no way would I have willingly swopped Rob for Ben (no offence to anyone but Ben has not even ridden a competitive meeting this season) especially as Swindon now look a much stronger team using r/r Also hope Rob is available to us on Thurs at Swindon instead of riding for Sheffield
  15. how can you just 'bang on' about something but obviously refuse to go into detail - can only assume you are talking b******s
  16. exactly the point his average should have been much higher BUT for many of his Rye premier matches he was a GUEST
  17. fully agree what a great ambassador for the sport - will miss seeing Leigh and his brother around the tracks
  18. well said David hope to catch up with you again this season now my team is now in the same league
  19. obviously on an extensive tour - saw it in Hertford in Nov - it coincided with the bspa meeting at Paradise park and some of the attendees were there - have to say excellent production and a good history lesson on the Spanish civil war
  20. thought this looked an interesting topic - can't find much about it though with all the irrelevant garbage being spouted as usual
  21. totally agree Gemini - hope your recovery is continuing well
  22. No comparison may look bad at Rye but big things are happening every day and everything looks good (including the team) - wish I could say the same thing for Cov where fixtures and fittings seem to have been deliberately destroyed to prevent them being used
  23. fully agree BUT James is such a prospect that I am sure he could become very good at Rye
  24. would love to see James Shanes but suppose that is too much to ask for
