Great result and performance from the Tigers and a mention for Aaron Summers who was an excellent servant to Glasgow a few years back. Happy retirement. -
Yes, for a small sum no guarantees of course I would add she's only been to speedway a few times but has got it sussed.

Cowboy cookie returns has come up with a similar plan - see page 3 and as I have said in response it is very similar to something suggested by my wife a few years ago. Makes you wonder k

Funnily enough my wife suggested something like this a few years ago but she didn't mention a VIP caravan, presumably because of the costs.

You can always purchase it now if you haven't already. OK you know the result but being a Speedway fan I'm sure you would really enjoy it. -

I stood and listened to his interview at the end of the meeting. He mentioned that whilst not wanting to make excuses he had had problems with his clutch plates all night with them burning out in his last ride resulting in him touching the tapes. He basically praised what has gone on at Glasgow in recent years in respect of the stadium and track and also publicly thanked Craig Cook who is going to lend him clutch plates for tomorrow at Berwick. Really enjoyed the meeting, as others have said some good hard fast racing and it looks so much better under lights. I hope that any future Sunday meetings are held at 6pm rather than 3pm. -
King's Lynn v Sheffield 09/09/21

Plymouth have also announced that Lawson will be riding for them next year. Good to know that everything has been sorted for next year like the number of leagues, the teams in these leagues, the number of riders in each team, the number of riders allowed to double up or down per team, the points limit for each team, etc. -

Correct, the forecast is looking good Possil Park (Glasgow) weather - Met Office -
Well its a warm welcome to the Gladiators on Friday, a team that have made much progress in recent weeks although now hampered by the injury to Richard Lawson. The Plymouth owners and management are to be congratulated for adopting a positive approach and actually promoting the sport. Looking forward to seeing Jason and Bjarne and I'm sure they'll love racing on a fair, smooth, well prepared track unlike some of the tracks they will have encountered away from home this year. With Richard in the team this would have been a close one but Tigers should now have enough strength in depth to win. They will be missing Tom Brennan on GB U-21 duty but have managed to bring in Ben Barker as a guest. Remember the match is being streamed and passes can be purchased here Home | Glasgow Tigers Speedway

In previous years I used to think they did a good job even though some people on here made it clear that they disagreed with that view. However last night they really were awful. They seem to have forgotten what their job is, made mistakes, interrupted each other and appeared to have not undertaken any basic research.

Peterborough v Ipswich Monday 6th September
SharpenRake replied to bigcatdiary's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
More importantly wouldn't it be against the rules or is it just the championship that had a transfer deadline? -
Clearly the BSPL et al are happy, so no need for you to fret. Its probably just like the problems you can have with getting a new passport, you know you are going to get one but it takes a while for the bureaucrats to issue you with your bit of paper. So sensible people would assume that the correct paperwork is in place, the bit of paper just needs to be issued. PS I realise you are from the 'east' but have assumed that even you know what a passport is. By the way he looked quick today whilst practising.

And page 2 of this thread. -
Interesting comment but what do you actually mean and how often have you actually seen him ride this year? For example, do you mean he's not the same as when he was in the GPs when he got stick from so called British fans because he wasn't apparently good enough? Or do you mean compared to when he started out? Perhaps you say this just because his Championship green sheet average has fallen from a starting point of 9.93 to 9.32 in 2021? Yet funnily enough despite being 'nowhere near the rider he used to be' he's still performed better, average wise, over the current season than all of the Poole team and respected riders such as Richard Lawson, Nick Morris and Chris Harris. Ignoring assessed averages he is currently 4th in the league, behind Scott Nichols by 0.01, 0.05 behind Sam Masters and 0.12 behind Bjarne Pedersen (ironically another rider that for some reason attracts stick from some fans). As he has grown older he has become even more of a family man, his family comes first, end off. If this means he won't take risks on dodgy tracks - blame the promoters, not him. If he decides it is better to score a bonus point when in third place rather than go flat out to try and win - blame the promoters who brought in the rule that bonus points don't count in your green sheet averages. If he starts to think about next year and feels his family would be better off financially if he does ensure he has an 'attractive' average that will get him a team place AND lots of guest bookings like many other riders allegedly do - again blame the promoters. Just so you know what he can still do on a proper speedway track https://fb.watch/7NZibVvAUj/
