  1. The only way covers would have worked today was if they were suspended c20 feet above the track and acted like a roof. Even the Berwick management haven't managed to do that, despite being forward thinking etc etc - I think I've got that right
  2. The main problem was that Newcastle and Workington initially drew on aggregate and there was no golden heat to determine the winners. It's been down hill since then
  3. It's quite funny that teams wouldn't come to face us when we had blank dates in the summer cos they would have riders missing and now most teams are being forced to ride in September when the weather is worse and they will have riders missing 😣
  4. What a sad, sad person. Show me one post where Glasgow fans are gloating. As GazC has said and others on numerous occasions the Facennas have made it clear they want this to be self financing there is no bottomless pit. Thats why they didn't accept the offer of being promoted at last years conference. They are also getting on in years and who knows how long they will stay in charge at Allied. They may even do a Rick Frost, no one knows. BUT what we will have is a decent facility that could be rented out to anyone else who wants to keep speedway alive.
  5. Woeful???? What do you think a reserve should score. Recent scores prior to Sheffield paid 8,paid 8. Going back to July since you said months paid 5, 7, paid 11. Where are we going to find a guest that will even come close? Being a reserve he'll be on less money than the 1-5, but he's got the same bills to pay. It's obvious he tries his guts out but his bikes are those of a good nl rider. It would be nice if a sponsor came forward as his scores could be crucial come the play offs. Just hope he and dan will be fit for them
  6. Well said GazC. And for the benefit of Jenga, here's a link to Glasgow Tigers Speedway and Team Lanno photos one showing some of the kids at the speedway. https://www.facebook.com/glasgowtigersspeedway/photos/pcb.1879895502025628/1879892952025883/?type=3&theater why don't you try counting them that should give us peace for 4 days at least
  7. Yep I seem to remember quite a number of people saying moving to a Saturday night would be bad for families and all the kids that came on Sundays would be lost from the sport. As paulco says there was millions of them on Saturday night. Just a pity we've had a disjointed fixture list so far. Hopefully everyone will be back even though we lost 😠
  8. This season is starting to remind me of the season chelsea had 2 years ago, both managers scratching there heads and team members inconsistent 🤔
  9. Congratulations to Sheffield and their manager, special mention to Josh and kyle for entertaining the crowd with there will to win. From a Glasgow point of view well done to the start girls for there entertaining routines. Nothing more to be said 🙊🙊
  10. Pointless pressing the panic button, the team can't be changed even if we wanted to. Just watched the Tigers broadcast on Facebook and seems Aaron's tuner was over from Poland so the boy is trying to sort out his lack of power. The play offs are all that matter now although it would be nice to go unbeaten at home. It might not go down well with some fans but we need the remaining 6 to stay healthy and not take risks - Ipswich fans said the same when they lost Cam Heeps through trying to hard. We also need them to get there best engines booked in early with there tuners and who knows what they will achieve. So in free fall or playing it safe. Hope it is the latter 🙆
  11. With a few rumours about next year it'll do mason no harm to show other teams he's worth a contract. Hopefully starting tonight
  12. Agree you will win on aggregate over the 2 matches this Thursday and Saturday
  13. Let's be clear Glasgow will not finish top of the league, Sheffield will. Play offs all to play for
  14. Aaron clearly upset by your comments and only scored 3. But in the first match he scored 10 from 4 for the diamonds. Funny old game, speedway
  15. At least we know the Scotsman is on the wind up. Surprised you haven't included Cookie in your list and the fact we are going to change our race day to a Monday afternoon
  16. As paulco says aaron looked slow. Can't help thinking he's suffering from lack of meetings. Fewer meetings less earnings and it becomes a vicious circle. Hopefully with more meetings over the next few weeks he can get his engines sorted as we reach the crucial part of the season
  17. I believe there is a 2nd installment in tomorrow's speedway star. The mind boggles. Maybe Neil macfarlane will be interviewed
  18. A sensible post plus as others have said it's a development league. Would those complaining prefer the 2 lads collapsed due to exhaustion. And since this is a jack holder thread to use Peterborough fans excuses they weren't missed from a result point of view
  19. I think relegation play off is meant to be on the tele looking forward to Nigel and kelvin's explanation of who is riding for who and why
  20. Ordinary British riders are likely to only race in the UK. Ordinary Swedish and Danish riders will also ride in there own country and therefore be more likely to miss some UK fixtures. Not really bothered who wins grand prix or World Cup.
