Rory, TJ and Hook would have scored more than 17 tonight. Rory 7, TJ 6, Hook 6 would hardly be setting the world alight but still more than the guests got.

Some great action tonight, on and off the track, with a close scoreline and a narrow home win in a last heat decider. I’m a very harsh critic, but you couldn’t ask for anything else tonight.

What a fantastic meeting. Redcar riders weren’t interested in the rain hts 1-4 which ultimately cost them. Great drama with the fight between the Aussie reject and the Edinburgh reject, with Leon doing brilliantly to redeem himself on last weeks heat 15 heartbreak.
