Fingers Crossed !!!

They are the team we have in place. Once they are all wearing the race jacket and they are riding competitively, it will be like any other season at the Oaktree, we will get behind them, they will be defended by us, the supporters, through anything they do and above all, we will want them to do well in their own right. We have got until March 18th to get used to having this team, new and present members together. COME ON YOU REBELS !!!

Excuse me if I have missed something, be warned it happens regularly when you get to my age but why have we discounted Ollie Greenwood at reserve ???? As far as I am concerned I think the lad has unfinished work with us and I think he should be able to carry on and realise his potential. If I have missed something that prevents this please accept my apologies and please furnish me with the details.

Yes, it could occur to me that "the Somerset squad COULD have been signed up months ago....". But I find that occurence highly unlikely, don't you ? If you had read the press release, Ms Hancock declared that some if not all the team members would be named at the "Team Announcement Evening" suggesting that the team may or may not be complete. It's known as a smoke screen to cover for shortcomings on that front !!!

Yes ! After we have all juggled the names that are left on offer and guessed who or what team we might end up with and all the riders have been allocated team places somewhere else other than with us, we're are left like kids licking out of grandma's Christmas cake mixing bowl for the dregs !!! (This post is directed at Rebels management. No disrespect is meant to the lads we end up with!)

What team ?!!! We haven't had a mention of anything yet, not even if the team parade transport has been repaired after it's refusal to start at the final match of the season!!! Rebels have not even announced the fact that we have lost Brady . Oh but we know they are trying to sell advertising space and that the track shop will be open for Christmas shopping !!! It's a bloody joke!

I have every confidence in Gazza but it would be nice to have a little bit of an idea of what the team will look like, just to keep the appetite moist. These are long dark months and as far as Speedway goes and Somerset fans seem to have to put up with old news all of the time or irrelevant stuff. We just have to be content with reading other clubs team building efforts. Come on Gazza !!! Throw us a few crumbs !!!
