  1. Well that was a very entertaining night. Incredible to see young Jack winning his first race. Vissing was excellent as was starke. Sarge hit the tapes twice track looks great and wlill settle in but clearly an improvement. Looking forward to armadiddle next week
  2. For our friends in the (slightly) east, the weather is an improvement on expected. The track was fine last night so it's all go. Looking forward to this very much.
  3. Lunna was a fan favourite, and great to watch but he was so gung ho injury always looked a possibility. Wish him all the best at Peterborough where I'm sure hell be popular.
  4. So far this looks a very strong team, aiming for the playoffs rather than staying off the bottom.
  5. Definately want a team makeup along those lines, hopefully keeping Sarj at reserve unless he really takes off. Would make us so much stronger.
  6. I've always said anyone should be allowed to switch if they want. It's all about getting bodies through the door. I go to Armadale quite often if we haven't got a meeting that week, regardless of what night we are racing, so I'd imagine I'll be going through a few nights next year.
  7. Edinburgh Fri, Peterborough (?) I think is it? Lakeside may have been put off by Friday traffic from what I recall. Hopefully we keep Sunday as our alternative raceday as it suits a lot of people who can't make it on a Friday. TBH the Saturday teams are the ones who will be affected most IMO. Isn't that 4 or 5 Saturday teams?
  8. Sensible mandatory dates for cup rounds completion, pretty much like every other sport??? This is a total fiasco which is probably losing the Facennas money and could easily have been avoided had we someone actually organizing the league. Instead, what should be an exciting cup run has degenerated into a farce.
  9. Hopefully the rain is off now and we get a nice breeze drying things out for tomorrow. Forecast pretty good.
  10. I agree with the avbove that there have been a lot of fiasco's this season, but still believe the KO cup victory over the Diamonds was phenomenal and I'm really excited about tomorrows meeting. Hopefully it is bouncing again and we get a performance to suit. Forecast is good!!!
  11. Massive tie who h I don't think we experience cited a few weeks ago. Come on tigers!!!!!
  12. We have a very slim chance, but a chance nonetheless.... but we need all three at the top scoring and beating Worral and Robson. Bewley doing better than he did last time at Newcastle, something from Smith and wee Sarge....... here's hoping.
  13. Im actually looking forward to tonight, and to be fair the injuries are no ones fault. The scheduling and particularly the inability to sign replacements falls at the BSPA 's door though. No offence Buster, but on the basis of this season you give the impression of being a complete d**head.
  14. anyone who believes this is promotion / relegation needs their head examined. The teams for whtever leagues take place next year will be decided over the winter. Sheffield will smash Leicester
  15. Yeah a tragic ending to the season. Any self respecting governing body would be looking at the shambolic scheduling this season and this tie taking half a year, and saying this must never happen again. Teams have to be Forced to schedule whether they effing like it or not. there should be dates for all meetings on the basis of original scheduled dates, or cup rounds, penalties for failing to meet obligations. And a guy in charge with the power to say 'tough!' that is truly pathetic.
  16. Looking forward to this. Main thing for the neutral must be no more injuries, particularly to JD who I just want to make it through to the end in the GP's. It could be close but reserve and Harris guesting makes Wolves favourites imo.
  17. They have been at it with Bewley for weeks. this week just being the latest example. Anyway, water under the bridge now.
  18. I don't blame Bewley, he's just a young lad following what his employers say. But I hope Belle Vue get pumped, taking advantage of the lack of transparency in Speedway to ..... well it's not exactly pulling a fast one is it? It's just taking the P.
  19. Bit of a waste of time, but most definately not the lowest attended meeting since the revamp...seen it lower at a Scunny or Redcar meeting. I was actually surprised as I expected it to be empty. Still, deeply dissapointing end to the league season. In summary: Well done Bowtell, Sarge for coming in. McGregor was a joke. Hope both Joshes are OK, Sheffield deserve to go all the way. Disastrous play off which I hope is never repeated. Tonight was always going to be dead rubber. A playoff semi final reduced to a meaningless meeting. Shambolic due to ambulences not turning up, three really nasty crashes, and the curfew. A night to forget, alhtough bizarrely I quite enjoyed it. Must be mental.
  20. Pretty much complete bollocks. Well done!
  21. As a neutral this was an exciting prospect, but it delivered drama, excellent racing and more. Roll on leg 2, it's not over yet, not by a long chalk. Terrific stuff.
  22. In my view, the ageing supporters who complain about price, music, whatever may have some valid points, but they are not the future of the sport. By all means try to keep them onside, but kids, young adults etc are the future. We should be doing our utmost to get them along. And as I always say, I'm very happy with the demographic at Glasgow these days. Total mix from 2 to 92 and plenty of kids with their parents. There are a good few for whom nothing in life will ever be as good as it used to be, including speedway. It's their mindset, not the world.
  23. I don't see much chance of Chapman listening to the complaints from the fans. For me: 1) Reduce the number of BSPA fixtures. Pairs, fours and individual in addition to League and cup is too many. 2) For a rearange on the same night as the original meeting, visiting club are not allowed to refuse unless they have a fixture on that night. Some kind of ruling on neutral nights to make them happen. 3) Except in exceptional circumstances (I know!!!!) a meeting should be rescheduled within one month of the original. Say 5 meeting points deduction to the home side if they breach (the 5 points is just an idea, could be any type of penalty) 4) Promotional comittee for each league that looks at club successes and helps all clubs to implement. Only concerned with increasing customer draw. 5) League forum one rep from each club, one overall representative attends the BSPA meeting after season end.
  24. Fixtures as usual a joke. Weeks off at the height of the summer and now we are left with injury crisis and autumn weather. In the minority but I just want this to go ahead. Seems unlikely atm.
