It's a lovely day in sunny Glasgow, and the forecast looks none too shabby. Looking forward to the Ben fund!

I've seen the viewing figures for Speedway on Sky (maybe it was on here ?) and they were quite good compared to lower league football etc.

SKy overpaid for the Premiership, by a HUGE margin and they are cutting back left right and centre. They look for everything (including non sports channels) to subsidise it. It's shocking. Their football (particularly non EPL coverage) looks like it's done on a shoestring. And David Haye vs Tony Bellew this saturday incredibly is a PPV - extra £17 on top of your subscription. It's become less and less value and the only reason I've kept it on is for the speedway. I've got BT anyway so hopefully they get it. Again I'd stress this doesn't surprise me but in the context of Sky's recent behaviour (fight with discovery over contract etc) it wouldn't surprise me and is all about the mess Sky is in, not speedway.

Now a good 2 years down the line since questions started to be asked in earnest, and GI have by the sounds of it done eff all. Lets face it, we've said it a million times - the stadium will never be built and the question is where do Swindon go from here. Swindon speedway has a good support and it looks like it's going to be destroyed slowly unless people actually grab the bull by the horns.

Remember Dick Barry at Powderhall (I think!) years and years ago. Not a fan of his jokes but another true speedway fanatic. I'm sure he'll stay involved and has been a real cheerleader for Berwick. All the best.

Sky are crap. The money we pay goes to the Premiership. Speedway is chickenfeed to them.

If you ask me, Cook, Fricke and the Worrals makes a strong top 4 in the new setup. Between them I'm sure a clear #1 will appear. Mon the aces.

Speedway Anoracks are a good catch, excellent numerical skills, able to listen to inane tripe for hours on end, don't mind waiting for hours for something to happen, have a very loose definition of glamour......low maintence.

I'm not complaining, it's free, good publicity for the club thanks to the hard work of the media guys.

Always impressed with Dickson tbh, he is up to his ears in speedway and we have a lot to thank him for. Thoroughlly enjoyed the show again.

OwenBros is right. Do however think that if the crowds continue to increase improvements wil continue to be made. It's quite small things tbh but likes of the disabled bit should be raised.

Why don't they make the Premiership points limit for the bottom 6 and allow the teams a number one on any average IE doesn't count towards team building. It's still only one out of seven and it's good to see likes of Holder riding in the UK.

Lunna's progress was hampered by injury last season but he settled into the main body and all things being equal he'll finish 5.5+ Bewley is a cracking rider. If he doesn't get injured he'll improve his average. If (and it's a big iff) our top 3 can get some consistency away from home we shoukld be up there with Sheffield and Newcastle.

It's going to be a very competitive league. Delighted with our side but once again Sheffield look cracking to me. And let's see what Edinburgh pull out the hat. Hopefully the new format works and it's a good year for speedway GB. Why not!
