Scotland's B Team Vs Scotland's A Team
damosuzuki replied to kermitfrog's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Very enjoyable evening. Was a draw a fair result? Probably. I'd have been happy if offered it before the meeting. Only black spot was Ricky Wells disgraceful gamesmanship, the worst I have seen in all my years attending speedway. He brought shame on himself, his family, New Zealand, America, and indeed the entire human race. I thought the guy behind me was having a seizure, and he was a Monarch. -

Carr was definately starting to look the part, but no 2 is a tough place to go. I think he'll be back in the championship. Maybe not this season. -

Good stuff, nothing to complain about if they are improving things. -

Yes - they are the rules. Berwicks faith in Gappameir is being repaid at the moment but that makes no difference. Why anyone think otherwise is beyond me. -

I see Campbell has opened a new stand on the third bend....... our usual spot. Are we allowed in it or is it only for ladies who lunch and the like? There will be a lot of us in attendance on Friday and we are used to our home comforts. -

If etheridge moves to reserve, Gappmeir into the main body and now Howe who may not reach his average, but will score 2nd string level, I believe Berwick start to look a team that should at least be winning the majority of home meetings. -
A very good point.

Edinbro win this 50-40 -
I'd say avoid the main bar in the Tigers Den (as you go in) and walk up past the start line to Bend 4 where there is a bar at the covered enclosure. Tends to be OK. The back straight has a bar now but would imagine it'll be busy as well.Glasgows a great place for walking round as there seems to be a ton of places to stop and watch. 48-42 The doommerchants are wrong. Expecting a good show from Nike and a few more points from Dan and Tom.

Etheridge scored at Redcar, but not #2 level or anywhere like it. I think he's got a lot of potential but..... no main body atm -
I don't think we are top dogs this season, but reach the playoffs and who knows. However, Worky are a curveball in terms of team setup, particularly for Glasgow. A #1 scoring 13 away from home (the best in the league by some distance imo) and strength in depth. For us with a long tail, Workington look like a bogey team.

Worral was imperious for Redcar tonight. The only reason Glasgow don't have an out and out #1 is they have such a strong top 3. We have 2 riders currently in the top 10 of a ten team league (and the 11th) . I don't think we are the strongest team in the league at the moment, but the numbers don't lie.

Redcar Vs Ipswich 20/04/2017

Delighted for Garcia. He is a quality rider who had a few injuries and bike problems last year, but he will become a fans favourite at Redcar if he gets a chance. Very stylish on the bike. -
What a meeting, yes Berwick blew it to an extent but Gappmeir was fantastic entertainment, doolan was good, you had R/R and a guest.... Folk saying they won't be back must be off their head. Well run, great atmosphere and so much to be positive about.

Glasgow 1.Summers © 2.Bewley 3.Lawson 4.Lunna 5.Worral 6.Perry 7.Smith Berwick 1 Lewis Bridger 2 Dimitri Berge 3 Claus Vissing 4 Liam Carr 5 Kevin Doolan © 6 Danny Gappmaier 7 Rob Shuttleworth (G) The end of a big weekend sees Glasgow taking on the Bandits at home, looking forward to both meetings with the Bandits this weekend and hopefully all riders emerge unscathed after a busy few days. Can't see by a Glasgow win barring disaster.

Lawson is good round Berwick, Smith / Blacklock is an unknown to me, and the bottom 4 at Berwick could win this out...... Hopefully I'm wrong.
